My entire kit of gear : https://kit.com/robhallphoto Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter: https://bit.ly/2KyfGG2 Description Exceptionally portable and versatile in its design, the L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter from Sekonic is a versatile meter that blends both photo and video-oriented functions into a single unit. Glow EZ Lock Deep Parabolic and Beauty Dish Softbox Flash Modifiers

My entire kit of gear : https://kit.com/robhallphoto Glow EZ Lock Beauty Dish : https://bit.ly/2sIpJl0 Glow EZ Lock Deep Parabolic: https://bit.ly/2JgUpRn Follow me on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2sj7Lsq Join Photography Gear Chat FB Group: http://bit.ly/2qB3de5 The GLOW EZ LOCK 25" WHITE BEAUTY DISH is an ingenious portable version of the light modifier famous for striking fashion and portraiture images showcasing the incomparable safe and sure EZ Lock system. No more clumsy construction, fumbling with flex resistant rods or struggling in frustration for careful alignment of speedring holes. The 16 ribbed dish opens up and closes down, umbrella style. The ingenious self-catch EZ Lock surrounds a thick center shaft, providing a comfortable place for your fingers to push-lock the mechanism open, and a generous wide button to unlock-release and close the beauty dish painlessly. The quick-to-setup quasi-parabola saucer like assembly has all the advantages of the beauty dish allure without the disadvantages of damage that a metallic dish confronts during location travel and is free of any of the drawbacks of a delicate bendable dish. This folding unit is made for the road, however, with sturdy aluminum support rods for structural stability and extraordinary fabric strength. This 25" White version of the Glow EZ Lock Beauty Dish series serves on subjects from head and shoulders portraits to dramatic partial figure studies, an optimal tool for mastering all shooting situations where quality counts. It shines in tight spaces where softboxes and umbrellas cannot fit the set comfortably. The unique beauty dish properties are achieved using a double reflector system that softens the flash properties twice. The final effect has qualities that cross between that of a direct flash and a softbox, giving the image a wraparound look - like a softbox, but with more contrast and a more dramatic directed beam. The white interior finish delivers a deliciously soft output, creates subtle distinction and reveals more detail of your subject. Intrinsic to the beauty dish design is a small reversible opaque deflector cover that is suspended concave profile out, directly over the front of the light source, preventing direct light from hitting the subject. The light then bounces back off the inner curved deflector plate and floods the wall of the outer bowl of the beauty dish, resulting in a broad spread of softer indirect light. The effect is gentler than obtainable from a standard reflector and markedly less harsh than of a speedlight. By flipping the deflector plate and using it convex side out, you can realize differing levels of light distribution. Photographers use 25" to 42" beauty dish on monolights and flash heads for flattering people shots, especially for sculpting facial features and creating beautiful shadows and catchlights. Glamour and sports photographers, which typically use a crisp type of lighting to enhance curves, muscles, and texture, use all sizes of the Glow EZ Lock Beauty Dish. When stacked in a vertical tower array of two or more, the beauty dish accentuates a model's full figure with perfect head to toe coverage. This compact size 25" diameter model can produce a beam with more punch. While it can be used for overall scattering of light to treat larger subjects and areas, but you will realize the most striking results when the dish is in proximity to the subject. With the Glow EZ Lock Beauty Dish Eggcrate Grid, you have a powerful tool in your arsenal of master lighting. By covering the aperture of the reflector with the egg-crate grid, you gain more control of a light source's beam, and feathers hard light for a more attractive shadow, virtually eliminating spill from the rest of the body and the background. This strong directionality can be used to add high-key depth for fashion images and emphasize the model facial structure as well as the eyes, lips, nose, and chin. The Glow EZ Lock 48" DEEP PARABOLIC SOFTBOX is an ingenious portable version of the light modifier famous for stunning fashion and portraiture images showcasing the incomparable safe and sure EZ Lock system. No more clumsy construction, fumbling with flex resistant rods or struggling in frustration for careful alignment of speedring holes. The 16-ribbed softbox opens up and closes down, 'umbrella style.' The ingenious self-catch EZ Lock surrounds a thick center shaft, providing a comfortable place for your fingers to push-lock the mechanism open, and a generous wide button to unlock-release and close the softbox painlessly. The quick-to-setup deep parabola bullet like assembly has all the advantages of a metallic magnum style reflector without the delicate nature. This folding unit is made for the road or studio, with sturdy aluminum support rods for structural stability and extraordinary fabric strength.

Take the eVOLV 200 to a new level! Liberate your flash head or LED module from the body of your eVOLV200 "Pocket Flash" without any power loss! Add 6.5 feet, 198 centimeters, of distance between the main flash body and the modular eVOLV head, for a myriad of situations: remote use in tight sets, hidden in secretive spots, to separate the head for a better-balanced placement on a lightstand, or in a multi-head configuration in a modifier. The LCD display on the flash remains visible for changes of settings, even with the extended head perched remotely. One end of the extension replaces the flash or LED module connected on the flash body, and the other end receives the light unit. The remote head has a cold shoe and a 1/4"x20 socket base for ease of setup and a push button tilt lock that holds the newly mounted head to the angle of choice. The flexible rubberized cable transforms the eVOLV into a boom solution, for a delicately placed hair light or an otherwise imbalanced umbrella placement. Now, you're in business! The possibilities are staggering. It discusses how I make sure the ambient light does not influence my final image. Then, it discusses the positions of lights as well as the light modifiers that I use on my Godox AD200s / Flashpoint evolv 200. Next I discuss how I determine my power settings, as well as how I modify the lights should I run into any issues such as light reflections in glasses. This is a great setup for clean headshots and portraits in any environment so long as you can find a decent background. For the camera I used a Sony A7R III, and for the lens I used the Sony 85mm 1.4 GM.

Big Brother to the eVOLV200 morphing pocket flash and Kid Brother to the MasterFlash XPLOR600 Pro cordless monolight. Weighing in at birth at just over 4 pounds 8 ounces, but don't let the diminutive size fool you. Under the sleek exterior comes a lot of the elder brother features (they even look alike!) without the overhead. It's a re-design, not a scaled down version. No kid stuff at 400-watt seconds, HSS, TTL, IGBT, 1 second recycle time can kick hard when it needs. The 400Pro boasts complete camera system real-time autosensing for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, and M4/3 Panasonic/Olympus, with the infallible R2 compatible 2.4GHz radio receiver modes built inside, fully compatible with the entire Flashpoint R2 Family system of wireless radio enabled strobes. And, just like a typical middle child, it can beat up to 390 full power shots from the compact new 21.6V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery and not shed a tear. The battery recharge is a snap, too, using the external power charger to reach full capacity while you keep the action going without tying up the flash to re-energize. Exchange a depleted bat-pack in a matter of seconds for keeping pace with whatever you're tracking. The output of the pro 30w LED modeling light, with proportional, variable or recycle responsive settings produces 4800°K with a TLIC of 93, brightness equivalent of 350w, and practicing a stable color temperature mode, completes the sweet picture. This babe can slim down to a more compact package for work on the go by shedding the rear handle and swivel mount, using the incorporated Godox style modifier reflector mount. The new arrangement will bring the user a variety of compact, stackable modifiersfrom Grids to Gels, Snoots to Reflectors. Don't worry, all you Bowens mod people. The flash mount adapts just fine with the includedS-Type adapter ring and even offers hope to the Profoto, Broncolor and Elinchrom light shaper enthusiasts with an optional ring to receive and transform. The first XPLOR600 proved the power of R2 to master the light wirelessly, the XPLOR600 Pro smashed the recycle barrier for lithium-powered monolights, and now, the XPLOR 400Pro goes beyond, with a sleek design, practical control consolidation, and keen responsiveness. True, accurate TTL, lithium powered mobile imaging that spurs your creative imagination to conquer distant vistas, solve the challenging lighting situation in any environment, adapt to multiple camera systems right out of the box.

My Biggest Problem (and solution) with Sony Cameras Flash EVF issue on A7R III, A7 III, A9, A7R II

My entire kit of gear : https://kit.com/robhallphoto Follow me on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2sj7Lsq Join Photography Gear Chat FB Group: http://bit.ly/2qB3de5 In this video I detail why a Sony alpha default of their mirrorless cameras (sony a7r ii, sony a7r iii, sony a7 iii, and sony a9) is problematic when using flash. When you attach a flash or flash trigger onto a sony camera, it attempts to simulate extra lighting on your subject by increasing the brightness in the viewfinder and live view. This is the opposite of what many people using off camera flash want. The biggest perk of the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is that it can show you how your exposure settings impact the image live. Many are annoyed to find that automatically overridden when using flash. There is a workaround however. Programming the "Shot Result Preview" function to a button allows you to see your ambient settings, even when a flash is attached.

The Glow EZ Lock 60 OCTA QUICK SOFTBOX sports a dynamic eight-sided deep parabolic shape featuring flattering, soft and luxurious color lighting with all the significant advantages of the softbox/umbrella quality with an unbeatable safe and sure EZ positive and lock system. No more clumsy construction fumbling of flex resistant rods, or frustration for careful alignment of speedring holes. The 8-ribbed softbox opens up and closes down, umbrella style. The self-catch EZ Lock surrounds a thick center shaft, providing a comfortable place for your fingers to push-lock the mechanism open, and a generously sized release to close the softbox painlessly. The quick-to-setup umbrella-like assembly has all the advantages of a metallic magnum style reflector without the delicate nature. This collapsible unit was borne for the road or studio, with sturdy aluminum support rods for structural stability and extraordinary fabric strength. This moderate 60-inch diameter edition of the Octa Quick Softbox is especially suitable for everything from fashion to portraiture, illuminating an entire person and small groups with smooth, nonetheless, exciting light. The finely finished silver interior lining makes it easy to achieve magnificent specular highlights, brings out sharp details, and provides the most focused indirect lighting, along with soft shadow definition. The shadows are slight and beautifully graduated. Colors are saturated and vibrant without the flat pancake 'flashpan' look of the direct strobe. Enjoy a full and voluptuous lighting experience that caresses your subject; where the highlights and catchlights are more appealing. The parabolic reflector shape directs all the light in one controllable direction. 130mm interchangeable speedring inserts open a world of adaptability to almost any speedlight, monolight or large barebulb strobe to serve as an optimal tool for mastering all location situations where quality counts. Mastering the light is no accident . The reversible opaque deflector cover causes light to bounce throughout and flood the wall of the outer bowl of the softbox, resulting in a softer spread of indirect light. By flipping the deflector disk, you can realize differing levels of light distribution. Independently, the inner diffuser incorporates a central circular panel to avoid hotspots while maintaining the pop of the silvered rim of material extending beyond its position. The use of both outer and inner combine double diffusion material goes even farther to produce very soft light, thereby providing no less than three levels of contrast, sharpness, and dimension. With the included Eggcrate Grid, you gain more control of a light source's beam by covering the front of the softbox with the grid, virtually eliminating spill. The 30° grid feathers the light creating an attractive shadow, separating the subject and the background. This strong directionality can be used to add high key depth for fashion images, and emphasise the model facial structure as well as the eyes, lips, nose, and chin. The lightweight accessory attaches to the rim of the softbox with a Velcro that follows the perimeter of the grid. Makes you look like an absolute lightmaster. The EZ Lock system adds practical advantages, strength, and speed to the daunting task of quality light modification on the run and in the studio. With much attention to minutia in its sturdy build, from resilient form-fitting fabric to flexible aluminum frame ribs, this GLOW EZ LOCK 25" OCTA QUICK SOFTBOX sets the standard for portable light control for people and subjects. As with all fine Glow products , this OCTA QUICK SOFTBOX comes packaged in a fitted, durable fabric pouch, which protects it during transport and storage.

It starts by introducing white balance and how to identify the color temperature of a scene. It then progresses into how to implement flash which is daylight balanced and gel the flash so it matches with any ambient color temperature. From there it goes over recommended gel systems for speedlights and monolights alike, highlighting gel products from Rosco, Magmod, and Flashgels.com. Candlelight : 2700K Tungsten : 3200K Daylight : 5500K Cloudy : 6300K Shade : 7000K+ The color temperature of a light source is the temperature of an ideal black-body radiator that radiates light of a color comparable to that of the light source. Color temperature is a characteristic of visible light that has important applications in lighting, photography, videography, publishing, manufacturing, astrophysics, horticulture, and other fields. In practice, color temperature is meaningful only for light sources that do in fact correspond somewhat closely to the radiation of some black body, i.e., those on a line from reddish/orange via yellow and more or less white to blueish white; it does not make sense to speak of the color temperature of, e.g., a green or a purple light. Color temperature is conventionally expressed in kelvin, using the symbol K, a unit of measure for absolute temperature.

SPEEDLIGHT TUTORIAL - HOW TO USE THE GODOX V860II / Flashpoint Zoom R2 TTL Lithium Ion

My entire kit of gear : https://kit.com/robhallphoto Buy the Godox V860II : http://bit.ly/GV860ii Photography Gear Chat Group: http://bit.ly/2qB3de5 Follow me on Instagram: https://bit.ly/2sj7Lsq A guide to using the Godox V860II / Flashpoint Zoom R2 TTL Lithium Ion The Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 TTL Flash for Nikon represents a significant breakthrough in speedlight power technology with the introduction of full R2 Remote TTL connectivity and interaction with all Nikon strobe functions. From standard iTTL, to Exposure Compensation (FEC), FV Lock, High Speed Sync, and an automatically zooming flashhead, all the way to complete iTTL control connectivity with other Nikon flashes, group control, Slave and Master options, and advanced flash functions, the Zoom Li-on flash takes you as far as you want to go. The R2 TTL Wireless Flash System is the advanced 2.4GHz radio remote that adds camera TTL dedicated custom functions to your multi flash experience. Easy to use buttons command a full range of functions like reliable channel triggering, group mode selectivity, HSS, with powerful signal strength and exceptional stability to your selected camera flash language. The LCD panel clearly displays the status of all remote R2 compliant strobes so you always have control of group lighting setup. R2 wireless communication gives speed of light response to on camera or off camera R2 family devices for a spectacular advantage on the shoot in any environment. The other massive advantage is the internal and interchangeable Lithium Ion Polymer battery with exponentially more power than AA batteries of any type, while fitting into roughly the same amount of space. Packing an amazing 11.1 volts and 2000mAh, this battery can power your flash longer and with faster recycle than any shoe mount speedlight on the market. Full power recycle times are less than 1.5 seconds, even if you fire 5 full power shots in fast succession! One completely charged battery can deliver up to 650 of those full power shots. Even in iTTL mode, you can try to drain the battery, but the Zoom Li-on keeps on going strong . The key component that makes this new flash stand apart from others is the proprietary TTL and HSS enabled 2.4GHz R2 Radio Remote System radio triggers transmits atop a Nikon body with the essential TTL pass-through and laser AF assist and works with the complete family of Flashpoint Speedlights, Monolights and Strobe lights with R2 TTL radio transceiver built right in. All the R2 enabled family communicate seamlessly: the lithium powered Zoom Li-on Nikon, Canon and Sony TTL speedlights, the Zoom AA alkaline powered speedlight, the fantastic Streaklight 360 TTL barebulb strobes (each available in Nikon, Sony and Canon as well as manual), and the portable 600ws XPLOR600 TTL or manual monolights. Other strobes can be fired and controlled off camera while being attached to the R2 Radio Remote Receiver FPRRR2RN to grace remote link to earlier models. The R2 system provides a full proprietary GR Group style interface allowing up to 5 Groups to be individually set to either TTL, Manual, or Off and, most importantly, TTL and Manual Groups can be conveniently mixed together as needed. The lithium battery powered units provide TTL, HSS (High Speed Sync) and even a HSS pre-sync timing adjustment for precision synchronization. PC cord sync input ports are provided for external device remote sync without control. R2-N receivers are compatible with Nikon CLS system speedlights like the Nikon SB-910, SB-900, or SB700. Besides Nikon iTTL and manual control, there are 2 optical slave modes, and a stroboscopic mode as well. The metal shoe features a locking pin, so even if the foot is not tightened properly it will not accidentally fall off of the camera or mount. Remote power control using a Flashpoint R2 System Transmitter or R2 Family flash allows you to view and change your flash output as you shoot as well as trigger the flash and adjust other functions from more than 150 feet away, for extreme off camera work. The simple layout and familiar controls make using this flash intuitive. The flashhead rotates 180 degrees in any direction and tilts over 90 degrees for any type of bounce or modifier use. The head zooms automatically or manually from 24-200mm, to ensure the necessary coverage without wasted spill. The built-in pull out wide angle diffuser spreads light evenly to 14mm for use with lenses wider than 24mm. With a charge time of just 2.5 hours and enough juice to run you through even the most difficult shoots, (and extra batteries available,) this high powered, speedy recycling, compact and durable Lithium Ion battery powered iTTL flash is sure to become a pivotal part of your photography equipment lineup.

Godox XPro / AD200 Descriptions Using the 2.4 GHz Godox X wireless radio system, the XProS TTL Wireless Flash Trigger can be used to effectively and reliably trigger flashes from up to 328' away, and when used with compatible flashes and receivers users will have the added benefit of remote power control. This model is compatible with Sony's ADI / P-TTL system, including support for high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, and offers advanced control options along with settings for working with system-specific features. For ensuring maximum reliability and control, users can set up 16 groups on one of 32 channels and can then access 99 wireless ID settings for limiting interference from other nearby systems. In addition to basic manual and TTL control modes, other settings are available, including stroboscopic flash and second-curtain sync. Users can adjust flash exposure compensation from -3 to +3 EV as well as wirelessly control the modeling light, zoom setting, and more. For using the XProS with other camera systems there is a 2.5mm sync port that supports triggering via a wired connection. Also, a USB Type-C port is present for firmware updates and the devices run on two AA batteries for convenience. The speedlight head outputs the standard look of an on-camera flash that can be modified using an optional softbox, beauty dish or umbrella. The bare bulb head features a removable flash tube and produces 360 degrees of soft, bright, nearly shadowless light. The head uses optional reflectors that focus the beam angle and give you directional control. The AD200 has impressive core features such as 200 Ws of power adjustable in 8 steps from 1/128 to 1/1, recycling from 0.01 to 2.1 seconds and flash durations as short as 1/11,300 sec. The flash runs on a removal rechargeable lithium battery that will give you up to 500 full power flashes and thousands of lower power flashes. The AD200 has 3 flash modes: Manual, TTL, and Multi (Stroboscopic). Manual outputs the user's choice of power, modeling light, first or second curtain sync, etc. Multi controls the stroboscopic rate up to 90 times (90 Hz). TTL takes advantage of the flash head's built-in X1 receiver. Optional X1 TTL transmitters are available for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic and Fuji cameras. They will also detect a separately purchased LED head. The 32-channel wireless system controls flash mode, first and second curtain sync, High-speed sync up to 1/8000 sec, power level, modeling lamp and ready beeper at distances up to 328'. The most significant feature in this fixture is the inclusion of a built-in, 2.4 GHz Elinchrom Skyport Receiver, enabling support for high-speed sync and remote triggering of the unit from up to 656' away when using an optional Skyport Transmitter. Also, it features Accu-Colour Technology to ensure optimal color rendering, proven by the rated CRI of 96 and TLCI of 91. Output has been significantly improved as well, with an increase of 85% over its predecessor, and a flash mode that can boost output by 500% for stills and will help freeze action. At max power, this results in an output of 2000 lux at 3' for continuous lighting, and a setting of f/8 at ISO 200 for flash. Beyond pure output improvements, the fixture offers a variety of functions to help users get the most out of the light. Primarily it does this through a variable color temperature of 3150–6300K, meaning it can be quickly and easily balanced to the ambient light whether it is tungsten or natural daylight. Other features include True Aperture Dimming to help more easily calculate your exposure information, and a CineSFX mode to automatically program certain looks for use in a scene, including the mimicking of police or fire light effects. Designed to be portable with its compact size, the fixture has multiple power options. This includes running on six AA batteries, a D-Tap connection for DC power, or the bundled AC adapter. This means it can easily get set up exactly as needed for a particular set. Users can mount it in a variety of methods thanks to the three 1/4"-20 threaded mounts around the edge of the fixture. These work with many standard support systems, including a shoe mount adapter for working as an on-camera light. Additionally, it comes with a filter pack, filter holder, and a belt pouch to hold everything. Both continuous and flash modes are available so users can quickly switch between video and stills shooting without needing to change out the lights. The built-in 2.4 GHz Elinchrom Skyport Receiver makes it possible to use the NEO 2 as a remote flash with high-speed sync support up to 1/8000 second. This requires the use of an optional Elinchrom Skyport Transmitter, and allows for remote control over the NEO 2 from up to 656' away. Users can also sync using a wired PC sync or 3.5mm connection. Accu-Colour Technology ensures high-quality color rendering with a rated CRI of 96, with an R15 of 99 and a rated TLCI of 91. It also helps ensure maximum accuracy throughout the adjustable color temperature range of 3150–6300K. The LEDs used are also flicker-free and have a lifespan of about 100,000 hours. Overall output is rated at about 85% greater than its predecessor. The flash mode provides about 500% more light output when connected to a mains power source, or 250% when running on AA batteries. Local dimming and controls are made possible through a rear display and two dials/buttons on the rear of the fixture. True Aperture Dimming uses shutter speed and ISO information, as well as distance data, to calculate the proper aperture for your shot. It improves speed and use, and helps shooters quickly get the appropriate power settings for their subject. Designer Fade mode allows users to program fade-up and fade-down effects, including the ability to set the duration. Cinematographic Special FX, or CineSFX, features a variety of different settings and mode to create ambiance in your scene. This includes options for strobe, lightning, throb, color cycle, fire, police, television, and more. No recycle time or power loss is evident when using the NEO 2, making it a suitable option for high frame rates. For power, users have the options of six AA batteries, DC power over the D-Tap connection, or AC power from the included adapter. When running on batteries, the NEO 2 can run for 85,000 full-power flashes, or 1.5 hours of continuous lighting. The NEO 2 can be mounted easily using the three 1/4"-20 tripod threads located around the edge of the light. A shoe mount adapter is included as well for using the NEO 2 as an on-camera light.

Flash Photography Tutorial - Using gels to balance with ambient light

The color temperature of a light source is the temperature of an ideal black-body radiator that radiates light of a color comparable to that of the light source. Color temperatures over 5000 K are called "cool colors" (bluish white), while lower color temperatures (2700–3000 K) are called "warm colors" (yellowish white through red).[1] "Warm" in this context is an analogy to radiated heat flux of traditional incandescent lighting rather than temperature. The spectral peak of warm-coloured light is closer to infrared, and most natural warm-coloured light sources emit significant infrared radiation. The fact that "warm" lighting in this sense actually has a "cooler" color temperature often leads to confusion.[2] you have any questions please comment below and I will address as soon as I can!

Glow Wing Like Umbrella Review Parabolic Light Modifier for Flash Photography

My entire kit of gear : https://kit.com/robhallphoto Glow Wing Like : http://bit.ly/RHWinglike Follow me on Instagram: https://bit.ly/2sj7Lsq Photography Gear Chat Group: http://bit.ly/2qB3de5 Glamour model : @Brilaurenn The Glow EZ Lock Umbrella is the perfect partner for your strobe. Whether you’re shooting studio portraits or covering events, this unique-shaped photography umbrella has the power to diffuse harsh lighting coming from your flash to produce more-flattering coverage for your subject or scene. Its dynamic parabolic shape is based on standard umbrellas but it follows a more innovative, rectangular wing-like design that helps save and make the most out of the available space. What helps set it apart is its reliable and secure EZ lock push-button system, which ensures quick and easy setup. It comes in three sizes (45”, 60”, 88”) and includes two layers of fabric that effectively modifies the light source to produce striking highlights, bring out sharp details, and create saturated yet evenly dispersed lighting. The semi-translucent white layer on the inside of the umbrella covers the metallic support rods and helps diffuse the light before it bounces on the back silver/black layer, which in turn bounces light back. Use it as a shoot-through by simply removing the silver/black layer. The output is similar to light coming from a window or softbox, but without the tell-tale circle catchlight that you would typically get from large umbrellas. No doubt, the Glow EZ Lock Umbrella is the champion light modifier for everything from baby portraits to event photography. It has the power to diffuse and direct your flashes output for the soft touch. However, the open diameter just doesn't work in all situations. A small room or basement studio, low ceilings, tight quarters and crowds, throws the trusty umbrella in a fit issue. Wing-Like To the rescue! The Glow EZ LOCK Wing-Like 88" Umbrella, with a trim and taper footprint, solves the quest for space (saving) with aplomb, sports a dynamic parabolic shape with the unbeatable safe and sure EZ Lock positive secure push button system. No more umbrella frustration or fumbling when opening and closing down! The newly designed locking device surrounds the shaft, providing a comfortable place to slide the umbrella mechanism to open, and a generous, wide button to release the canopy, painlessly. Even though the Wing-Like is based on the standard design umbrella, that doesn't limit the resourcefulness. The innovative shape is a rectangular crop of the traditional round parabolic umbrella, consolidating and reducing the precious area necessary for setup. The output is reminiscent of window light, like a softbox, without the circle of real estate that a large umbrella demands. Two layers of fabrics modify the light source and make it easy to achieve moderate specular highlights, bring out sharp details, and provide the most saturated indirect lighting. The inner White layer completely covers the Silver outer surface, masking the support spokes of the Wing-Like umbrella. Rods remain hidden from any visibility in reflections in metallic objects and catchlights for subjects. It has a black opaque cover layer, limiting the light loss that naturally occurs through its white fabric material and two interior surface treatment. The removable silver lining behind the white inner layer provides stronger focused lighting, along with soft shadow definition. This is especially suitable for higher light output, greater reach and bringing out details. Perfect for maximum light output, greater group reach, creating spectacular contrasts. And when you want to lower the 'punch', or use the Wing-Like for a diffused shoot-through, the outer silver/black fabric layer is removable. You can orient the Wing-Like vertically for full figure coverage or rotate to horizontal for those moments where the umbrella needs to be out of frame. The resulting effect can be more dramatic, with feathering and ratio control, far more natural than the wider brolly. It is what you were dreaming of when the fit is too tight - the 'perfect' Glow parabolic umbrella in a modified package - when that big round para won't sail. The multipurpose Glow Wing-Like shares the superior Glow line qualities of construction, such as attention to minutia in its sturdy build, from resilient fabrics to fiberglass frame ribs. Once again, this umbrella sets the standard for portable light control for people and objects. Umbrellas are very affordable, a breeze to work with and easy to transport. Each size and material has a function. With much attention to detail from fabric to frame ribs, this GLOW EZ LOCK WING-LIKE 88" WHITE UMBRELLA with Removable Silver/Black sets a new high standard for portable light control for people and subjects at fantastic value. The Space Buster. For Studio, Location, or Home.
