10 Benefits Of Exercise On The Brain And Body - Why You Need Exercise
Why Physical Exercise is Vital for a Healthy Brain and Body. Physical fitness through exercise is one of the most common pieces of advice offered by medics across the planet. There are many benefits of exercising when done correctly. Some of the most common include improved blood flow, general body fitness, weight loss, and stress relief. This video seeks to focus on some of the direct benefits of physical exercise to the brain and the body. 1 Boost The Memory Studies conducted on the hippocampus among children, adults and the elderly showed that the brain structure grew after aerobic exercise. The hippocampus is the part of the brain that holds the memory, and therefore crucial for learning abilities. 2 Improve Concentration Exercise improves the ability to focus on one task, ignore distractions, and also hold and manipulate information. Aerobic exercises improve retention among students, and therefore crucial for children, adults and even the elderly. As well 3 Improve Mental Health Physical exercise is a great mood enhancer. The feeling of elation experienced after exercise is real and should be used as an alternative stress reliever. A 2010 study conducted for eight weeks showed a significant decrease in the amygdala after yoga and meditation. The amygdala is the part of the brain that is implicated in processing stress, fear and anxiety. 4 Slowing Cognitive Decline Physical exercise delays the onset of mental wear and tear, and dementia, especially among the elderly. It pays to exercise early in life to avoid mental illnesses that come with old age. A study published on Neurology suggested that women who were physically fit in their middle ages were 88% less likely to develop dementia than their peers who were only moderately fit. 5 Physical Fitness and Weight Loss A study published in the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism showed that an active exercise training program was ideal for reducing weight and improving physical fitness among obese children. The effects were possible even without a change in dietary composition. 6 Protection of the Body against Age-related Decline According to a study published in the Journal of Aging Research suggests that physical activity maintained throughout life is accompanied with a lower risk of developing chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and coronary heart diseases associated with chronological ageing. 7 Improved Heart and Lung Health When done on a regular basis, physical activity, both moderate and intense, lowers the risk of developing coronary heart disease. Regular exercise strengthens the heart muscles and their ability to pump blood to the lungs and the rest of the body. The lungs automatically pick up the pace to keep up with the exercise and, therefore, become stronger. 8 Increases Lean Mass and Strength High-frequency training and low-frequency training both contribute to improvements in lean mass and strength in men and women. Strength training also helps alterations in metabolism, increase in bone density, reduces the risk of injury, and even rebuilds lost muscle. The buildup of muscle is necessary for preventing a resting metabolic rate that causes obesity. 9 Improved Cholesterol Levels Regular physical activity and exercise are effective in lowering cholesterol levels in the blood and thus prevent the onset of coronary heart disease, heart attacks and strokes. Clinicians can recommend aerobic training, or resistance training to ensure that healthy cholesterol levels are achieved. 10 Prevention and Management of Diabetes Regular exercise can help delay or prevent the development of type 2 diabetes by 60%. Daily physical activity, aerobic exercise, or resistance training prevents sugar-build up in the blood. Insulin sensitivity increases and the body can take up glucose during and after activity. Any form of physical activity that helps the body burn calories, e.g. walking, cleaning, mowing the lawn is beneficial and should be included in daily routines.

How To Be SUCCESSFUL At Just About ANYTHING In 5 Practical Steps
It’s paramount to succeed in small things before doing even bigger things. This gives one the confidence that is very much needed in accomplishing bigger things. One might wonder why some people keep winning in most of the things they do, this does not happen automatically. Behind the scenes a successful person has endured a lot stress, hard ace and failure, they have spent surmountable time and energy figuring how to succeed. Audible 30 Day Free Trial: https://amzn.to/2mO6ow0 So, how do you become successful in everything you do? 1. Prepare; imagine walking into an interview without knowing anything about the company. Chances are that you will end up embarrassing yourself. If you decide to do something with the aim of getting positive results you must first acquaint yourself with it. When you have an upcoming exam the best thing would be study and revise for it in order to succeed, the same applies to everything else you aspire to achieve. Failure to prepare in advance is a sure way to fall short on your plans. 2. Be disciplined; discipline is an important ingredient in the cooking of success. If you are looking to succeed either financially, in your relationship or business you ought to be painstakingly disciplined. There is no shortcut to this, if it requires you to get up early, you have to get up, if requires you showing up every day, you have to show up. Discipline is doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done. A lot of people struggle with managing themselves, but what you need to understand is that self-discipline is the gate way to the manifestation of all your desires and goals. The late Jim Rohn said “discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments” and it’s by no mistake that successful people have come to realize that in order to do and achieve their set targets and goals, they have to master this art of self-discipline. 3. Willpower; this is the ability to push yourself when the passion fizzles out. The heart to stay on course even when the journey seems exceedingly impossible. Without willpower most people do things halfway and give up. No matter how small something may seem, as long as you deem it necessary to achieve you ought to give it your all. Starting a new thing is very exciting in the beginning… here it is when you are eager motivated and driven but somewhere along the way things become a-bit stale and your once picture perfect vision seems to perpetually lose clarity and focus. It is at this point when most people give up, it’s not your lack of interest but it’s your inability to see a way out of a particular conundrum. To successful overcome a significant barrier, you have to break down the problem objectively in order to find a solution. Braking down each and every hurdle you face in life and successfully overcoming it, is the key to improving your willpower. Every time you successfully find a solution to a problem your willpower increases and compounds. Eventually, once seemingly impossible obstacles are no longer a problem. 4. Focus; if you have set the wheel in motion then you need to keep it rolling. There will be a lot of things to distract you and throw you off balance, but you have to maintain laser sharp focus in order to get it done. The difference between you meeting your deadlines within the stipulated time and failing to do so often depend on your ability to focus. The more focused you are on your chosen path the more you will get results. In order to succeed in anything you do, you have to block out all distractions, lock yourself in a room if you have to and get to work. 5. Take Action – The conception of the idea is quite simple, but following through is hard. In the beginning of 2018 a lot of you wrote down or had plans of goals and things that you would like to do or achieve right? You essentially had a new year’s resolution. Well, its August now, the 8th month of the year and I have a simple question for you. Have you done even half of what you said you were going to do? I can only hope that a lot of you can answer in the affirmative that, yes I have done most of what I said I was going to do and that I am currently working on achieving the rest of the things I said i would achieve. But most of you, let’s get serious threw away your resolutions long time ago. If one of your resolutions was to wake up every day, and head off to the gym to exercise, did you follow through? I’m guessing not. Talk is cheap. A lot of things are easier said than done. The key to successfully taking action on goals and resolutions you want to achieve is to begin with the end in mind. Picture in your mind’s eye the said goals you want to accomplish. If it’s to lose weight, then imagine yourself lean and supper fit. If it’s to save for a new car, Thanks for watching guys. Meditation For Beginners (at Home) – A Simple Guide on How to Meditate and It’s Surprising Benefits!
In this video, I’m going to teach you how to meditate, what to do when meditating, the correct postures to do when meditating, the benefits of meditation and much more! This is a simple guide that should teach you everything you need to know about meditation to get started. Meditation is defined as the practice of focusing one’s mind through a chosen technique in order to achieve a clear mind and an emotionally calm state. When meditating, one focuses on the present moment without worrying about the past or the future, but only solely focusing ones attention in the current moment activity. The ultimate aim of any meditation exercise is to achieve a state of ‘thoughtless awareness.’ It is important to note that meditation isn’t geared to help you become a new or a better person. Rather, it is about training your mind to be aware of the different ways through which you can look at life, hence giving you a healthy sense of perspective. #Practical Wisdom - Meditation Music: Bensound.com (thejazzpiano) Practical Wisdom
The Problem With Problems
Have you ever wanted to start something in your life, basically any project, creative endeavor, or even a new hobby or career path, and immediately come up with problems that would stop you from succeeding or even finishing the thing? I wear a couple of different creative hats, and every time I set out on a new endeavor, as soon as the wonder and romance of how cool it would be to actually do that thing wears off, I immediately start counting off a list of insurmountable problems that make any enjoyment or merit I’d get out of that thing I’m thinking of seem totally pointless, and definitely more trouble than it’d be worth to actually complete. Even doing something as simple and low-stakes as writing this, I found that within the first few sentences I already started catastrophizing about all of the things that could go wrong with this relatively simple thing I decided I wanted to do. It’s not just that I’m lazy, (although I definitely am), it’s that I have an unconscious habit of turning almost anything I can think of pursuing into a massive walking problem. I imagine that a lot of other creative people must do this too, because the number of genuinely moving passion projects in the world seems low, and the number of relatively boring, paint-by-numbers cash-ins seems painfully high.

Why Are Children So Expensive? - The Challenges of Raising a Child Today
Are you thinking of starting a family? Chances are, you’ve considered it once or twice. If you’re in a serious relationship, it’s probably come up in conversation. Children are a lot of fun and it’s a noble idea to want to continue your family’s legacy. But there are some costs associated with raising children that you should prepare for. So in this video we are going to look at the cost of raising a single child from birth to the average age they are expected to move out their parents’ house, which research has disclosed is 22 years old. Although here’s an interesting fact, research has found that, more than 1 in 10 adults are still living with their mother and father at the age of 40, this is shocking! In a report released in 2017, the USDA says it will cost $233,610 to raise a child in America today. That’s a harsh reality, especially if you want a large family. But there are some things you can do to be prepared for that reality. The average middle income couple with 2 children is estimated to spend $233,610 to raise a child. This number doesn’t include college expenses, but with the average college tuition in America costing on average $33,480 at a private college and $24,930 at a public college, the cost of raising one child skyrockets to over a quarter of a million dollars. That’s one expensive kid! The cost of raising a child obviously depends on several factors, Including housing, food, education from preschool through high School, child care, healthcare, personal care and entertainment expenses. In 2015, the USDA surveyed about 30,000 households and determined the cost really depends on your lifestyle and where in the country you live. For instance, it costs an estimated $1,500 more to raise children in an Urban setting versus rural. It costs parents in the urban northeast about $264,000 to raise children versus just over $224,000 in the urban Midwest. Contrast that with moms and dads who spend about $232,000 to raise children in the urban south and a little over $245,000 in the urban west. Those living in rural areas pay the least at an average of about $193,020 according to the FDA data. A family’s largest expense is housing, which accounts for 29% of the overall cost of raising a child in America. After that are food at 18%, child care and education at 16%, transportation at 15%, healthcare at 9%, 7% for miscellaneous purchases and 6% for clothing. If you anticipate paying for your child’s private school education or hiring tutors, your costs would be higher than a family that sent their kids to public school. And if you grow or raise most of the food your family consumes, your food costs will probably be lower than the family that shops at the supermarket. Although these costs are outstandingly shocking, here’s the good news. Families who plan on having 3 or more children can expect to spend 24% less on average per child compared to those with two kids. This is thanks to a phenomenon referred to as the “cheaper by the dozen effect”, thanks to the economies of scale with regards to children, as families increase in size, children may share a bedroom, clothing and toys can be reused and food can be purchased in larger more economical packages. But don’t let all these numbers overwhelm you! Children may be expensive, but they’re worth every red cent. Now you can be more financially prepared to become a parent. Thanks for watching.
