Security Tokens Explained For Dummies! (STOs vs ICOs)

06:25
What are security tokens or STOs and why might they replace ICOs in the future? It's because they embrace the new and existing regulatory frameworks for securities instead of trying to skirt them and sell their tokens as utility tokens. The SEC has said that all ICOs they have looked at are offering securities (illegally and unregistered) so STOs have been born and are being offered by companies trying to fundraise in the crypto space. In this video we will provide an overview of Security Tokens and explain what they are, existing US regulations (Reg A+, Reg D, Reg CF), and the future landscape. #Cryptocurrency #SecurityTokens #STOs For more info on this topic: https://www.bitcoinforbeginners.io/cryptocurrency-guide/what-is-sto-security-token-offering/

What Is Mimblewimble? How Does It Relate to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Grin, and Beam?

09:23
MimbleWimble is a relatively new blockchain protocol focusing on privacy and scalability. It had a whitepaper released in mid 2016 with an author under a pseudonym. Specifically, Mimblewimble targets Bitcoin's shortcomings when it comes to privacy and scalability by clever cryptographic techniques. It uses Confidential Transactions and also a system that cuts down on the amount of info you have to store to know the ledger's account balances. Two altcoins, Grin and Beam, have since been launched using the Mimblewimble implementation. Many major figures in the cryptocurrency world have spoken positively about Mimblewimble including Charlie Lee of Litecoin, Fluffypony of Monero, and Samson Mow of Blockstream. #MimbleWimble #Cryptocurrency #Blockchain

Crypto Arbitrage Explained for Dummies! (Should you try arbitrage?)

11:13
Cryptocurrency arbitrage is a unique trading strategy in the crypto world. There are many types of arbitrage, but on a high level, it involves taking advantage of price differences for the same asset across different markets. For example, Bitcoin may be worth $6000 on a US exchange but is $6200 on an overseas exchange. You could buy a BTC from the US exchange and sell it on the overseas exchange and earn a $200 profit (minus fees). These price differences are due to the market inefficiencies in the young and unregulated crypto world. When utilizing this strategy, it's important to understand where the opportunities are, what the risks/tradeoffs are, and other general tips. Just watch this video to learn more about cryptocurrency arbitrage! #Cryptocurrency #Arbitrage #Trading

ProgPOW is a new Proof of Work algorithm proposed for Ethereum. The purpose of ProgPOW (which stands for Programmatic Proof of Work) is to make GPU miners more competitive with ASIC miners. This aims to reduce miner centralization that we've seen plague many cryptocurrencies. ProgPOW was introduced and developed by the IfDefElse team which includes Kristy-Leigh Minehan (@OhGodAGirl). The code has been reviewed positively by Ethereum Core Devs as well as AMD/Nvidia engineers. This algorithm has been tentatively accepted by the Ethereum Core Devs but will not be rushed and squeezed into the upcoming Constantinople Hard Fork. #ProgPow #Ethereum #Mining

HOW TO: Use IDEX Exchange To Trade ERC20 Tokens! An EtherDelta KILLER?!

How To FAIRLY Compare Coins! Control Circulating Supply Or Market Cap!

05:10
Many people in our beginners group often ask "What are the best sub $1 coins out there?" This points to a fundamental misunderstanding of how to judge/compare crypto coins (and something called the unit bias). To fairly judge/compare two coins you need to control their circulating supply, total supply, or market cap. This is also why it is frankly ridiculous to think/wish that your Ripple or other "cheap" coins will ever reach Bitcoin's price of $10,000+ and make you a billionaire. I also introduce a new website/tool called Matchcoins.info which helps you do the math and calculates for you how much your smaller market cap coin would be worth if it had the same circulating/total supply or market cap as a higher one. Take a look at the site/tool and let me know your thoughts? ******************************************** Hey everyone, thanks for watching. Bitcoin Cash $BCH Drama & Potential Chain Split... Clearly Explained! (Bitcoin SV vs Bitcoin ABC)

11:20
Bitcoin Cash’s (BCH) November Hard Fork is bringing a TON of drama into their community. You have Bitcoin ABC with lead dev Amaury Sechet proposing new Op codes and canonical transaction ordering, while nChain (Craig Wright) and CoinGeek (Calvin Ayre) proposing a different client - Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (Bitcoin SV) - which does not have any of those changes and instead looks to lock in the original Bitcoin protocol 0.1.0 with a block size increase to 128 MB blocks. Then you have Bitcoin Unlimited trying to push for compromise while Cobra released Cobra Client which doesn’t include any of the proposed features - just replay protection. Finally you have Bitmain’s mining pools going against CoinGeek/Craig Wright and Roger Ver still on the sidelines evaluating. For an overview of all the JUICY DRAMA going on in BCH world, please give this video a watch! #BitcoinCash #HardFork #Cryptocurrency

What are IEOs? Initial Exchange Offerings Explained For Dummies!

06:08
IEOs or Initial Exchange Offerings are a new fundraising model in the cryptocurrency world. Instead of ICOs, IEOs work with exchanges as the intermediary between the investor and the project/team. The exchange handles KYC/AML, deposits/withdrawals, caps, and limits. Once the IEO is over, coins/tokens are often immediately tradable. This is safer in some ways because a big risk of ICOs were that their tokens would never be able to get listed on exchanges. What do you think about IEOs? Were you able to participate in the Fetch.AI or Bittorrent ones on the Binance Launchpad platform? #IEO #InitialExchangeOffering #Cryptocurrency
