When the USFS comes knockin' at Miah and Derek's claim, Miah lays down the (mining) law. As a miner it’s important to understand your rights on your legitimate and valid mining claim. Don’t let the Forest Service bully you off your claim. If the proper steps are taken to locate, record, and process your mineral rights claim, then the Forest service cannot stop you from casual use mining. The Roosevelt is a lost treasure and a mining claim of epic proportions. The mine is a massive undertaking, with a claim that includes a branded and gated entrance, a double battery mill, a power station, and much much more. The mine is a massive beast, boasting at least 2200′ of linear drift workings to a huge lode that measured up to 3 feet wide. From this lode, a series of drifts and raises lead over 800′ down into the depths of the mine. The ores are rich with gold and silver.

From 1902 to 1941, the Regan Mine was a lucrative operation, mostly run by small miners. In 1939, the mine was reportedly bought by the Paymaster Mining Company for over $200,000, but was soon shut down due to the War Act. The Regan mine is massive and its workings are relatively untouched. Currently, there is an abundance of processing equipment on the claim, including a crusher, a shaker, and a smelter. There is also a year round supply of water on the claim. This claim is perfect for small operations, which could grow into larger operations as the veins and deposits are further explored.

Another great property brought to you by Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. When you are ready to start your mining operation, think of us first! There is very limited information regarding the property. It was reportedly located in or around 1903. Initial silver outcrops turned out to be very limited and the claims were abandoned by 1905. Placer gold was located in 1906 in Castle Creek, placer operations were executed and miners worked up Castle Creek to the source of the gold. According to historical and local oral communication, gold was located in and around the Silver Rock Mine in 1910. An adit portal was driven 1500’ horizontally with a crosscut of 2000’ at 400’. Gold ore was found in oxidized iron and quartz veins. Gold was free-milling and required little processing beyond crushing and shaker tables. The Mother Lode claim is rare in that it has been worked for both gold and cinnabar. Gold and cinnabar samples are extremely rare and can sell for up to four times the price of gold alone. This claim has an entire processing site that is mostly intact. This includes a crusher, a shaker, and a mill, all in incredible shape. The mine itself will need to be cleared. The entrance will require some digging to access. It is estimated there is between 1800 to 2000 feet of workings on the main level of the mine. The Mother Lode began production in 1906 but was most recently worked in the 1960's for gold, all while the cinnabar processing mill stood idle.

Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. surveyors noted appreciable amounts of native gold visible while at the mine site, both above and below ground. This gold appears to be in a pure form as can be noted by color, sheen and hardness. A series of adits access the mine workings which span a number of levels in the mountain and are all thought to interconnect. Mapping was acquired for the mine workings and supports this conclusion. This mine should be noted as a gold mine, although it has produced copper, some silver, and zinc, the primary commodity is gold in its native form. The mine is located a short distance out of Tombstone, Arizona on good dirt and 4WD roads. There are two technical spots on the road which are a result of seasonal water run off. Extreme caution should be exercised near these areas. Experienced 4WD drivers and operators should be consulted if there is any question of capability. It is recommended that the road be repaired by the claim owner. The Abril should be considered as an advanced brownfield property in that it is fully accessible underground in its current condition. This status indicates an ease of drilling and sampling throughout the ore bodies both above and below ground. The Abril Mine is located in the same general trend as the Middlemarch, Cobra Loma and other historical gold mines. The mine was privately held until at least 1992 and claimed to be secured and maintained. When surveyed and documented in 2016, the mine was found to be in excellent condition, slightly neglected but with no major work needed.

The tailings we saw from the Park were so amazingly rich and indicate the quality of ore found inside the mine. The Culverwell Mineral property is an established gold and silver mine located in Lincoln County, Nevada. The mine has limited documentation of production but shows average values of 1.44 oz/T AU and 2.31 oz/T AG. The mine was located by Mr. Charles Culverwell and Mr. William Culverwell in 1899. The mine was re-located by two miners in the resurgence of 1932 and documented production of 5 tons of ore containing 7.2 ounces of gold and 11.5 ounces of Silver. Waste Dumps at the mine were sampled and showed calcite, quartz, pyrites, raw gold, some silver and iron with likely tungsten and or molybdenum. The accessible workings in the mine consist of a haulage tunnel with some short offshoots and a stoped room where a gold ore body appears to have impacted a dike. There is a small headframe a winze of approximately 30’. At the bottom of this winze, there is an apparent drift cutting back on the same ore deposit as above. The lower level was not mapped or examined but it said to intersect with the workings of the upper two adits through a series of raises and other drifts. This information is unverified. In addition to the lower levels, also noted was a potential raise near the headframe, the passageway was extremely narrow and was likely an ore chute at one time, however, it is possible to attempt access to upper levels through this raise. The mine is noted for production of wire gold in iron and on quartz. Surveyors did not witness any wire gold, however, surveyors reported multiple instances of small gold deposition in the short offshoots of the haulage tunnel and some high-grade gold samples were removed from the main working room/stope. 28 lbs. of high-grade gold ores were sent for assay and returned a value of 22.9 oz/T in AU with only trace silver. This indicates that the gold deposits, when kept in a pure form have very little silver or other contaminates and could be crushed and washed as a way of processing with no chemicals needed. It also indicates that working specifically on the veins which are showing gold deposition within the mine would be the most lucrative plan for a small miner or mining company. The Emerson was clearly just getting started and never really tapped of all its potential when it was most likely abandoned in 1940s. There are old buckets of high grade ore stacked on the hill side and many ore rich veins inside the mines ready for the small time miner to process. This is a perfect site for those looking for gold and silver but also features crystallized minerals and gems. Rockhounds and Gold miners alike will find this mine to their liking. The BLM has placed gates on both Adits but they are easily bypassed. If you buy this mine we recommend modifying the current gates with a secure lock and door system. Overall the Emerson mining claim is a fantastic find and a real potential producer. The rich tailings and ore veins should speak volumes to the prospective buyer.

The Hilltop Seclusion is a remote and rarely, if ever, visited claim just outside of John Day, Oregon. The claim is surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and the valleys below. There are two adits and a couple of prospects on the claim. The Hilltop Seclusion was historically mined for gold, and gold in quantity. Prior to 1900, over 750,000 ounces of rich, native gold had been extracted from the district. It was said that while the placer operations provided enough for the small miners, the real money was in locating the lodes in the hills above. Getting underground and locating those gold veins would be well worth the hard work.

The Buckhorn and Nada Gold Mining Property is located on the southern end of the east flank of the Elkhorn Mountain range in the Quartzite Ridge District in Broadwater County, Montana. aka the Cedar Plains District. The property consists of three lode mineral claims totaling sixty (60) acres. The claims cover the workings of the Buckhorn and Nada Mines and all the related workings as they cross over a short ridgeline. Although the properties are in close proximity to eachother, the workings underground are not interconnected. The Buckhorn and Nada Mines are valuable for their gold deposits, which while not uncommon in the Radersburg district, are uncommon in the Quartzite Ridge District which is commonly known for Silver deposits. The Buckhorn and Nada are documented for free gold in iron oxides. These deposits have been verified by Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. surveyors inside the workings of the Nada Mine. The gold is visible to the naked eye and can be traced in various veins in the workings. There are some buildings and infrastructure above ground on the claims is quite extensive but not usable. The mine portals are open, accessible and provide easy access into the workings. The air was measured in both the Buckhorn and Nada Mines and found stable at 20%. The mines are cut into competent country rock and stable in their current state. The Nada Mine is an adit cut on a horizontal plane and intersecting several gold veins as mapped and contained in this report. The Buckhorn Mine consists of two steeply decline shafts of at least eighty feet. These mines will require rope and safety gear to access and have not been fully surveyed or documented. The shafts have a gating system and a door mechanism for access. Prior to Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. on site survey, the mines were last examined by Alexander Winchell of the US Bureau of Mines and United States Geological Society in 1914. Winchell reported the mines as maintained but not being worked. The anomalous gold deposits were also noted with visible free gold noted in several veins inside the workings. The mines are mentioned in a 1954 report by the USGS and again by Klepper of the USGS in 1971, however, neither surveyor bothered to examine the sites or the mines and simply regurgitated previous surveyor’s information.

George stayed until he passed away in 1987 or 1989. The claim has a series of old buildings on it. The basic brick structure has been added on with awnings, an old camper, and various walls and doors. There is also an old workshop that is filled with old magazines and reading material. A video of the Belmont Mill in White Pine County, Nevada. This was once a large silver, lead and gold operation. The Mill was built in 1925 by the Tonopah Belmont Development Mining Company to process ore from the Belmont Mine, which was located 1.8 miles away on the side of a mountain. Ore buckets traveled on cables from the mine to the mill. Once at the mill the rock from the ore cars was dumped and the processed through grinding, pulverizing, and then chemical processing to emerge as concentrates at bottom. The concentrates were then shipped off to Eureka, Nevada for further processing.
