I'm a Miner ! - Dealing with the USFS

03:12
When the USFS comes knockin' at Miah and Derek's claim, Miah lays down the (mining) law. As a miner it’s important to understand your rights on your legitimate and valid mining claim. Don’t let the Forest Service bully you off your claim. If the proper steps are taken to locate, record, and process your mineral rights claim, then the Forest service cannot stop you from casual use mining. Ever wondered what you need to know before buying a gold mine? Here are some tips from Gold Rush Expeditions about what information you need before buying that mining claim!
Roosevelt Gold Mine - Colorado - 2016

08:52
The Roosevelt is a lost treasure and a mining claim of epic proportions. The mine is a massive undertaking, with a claim that includes a branded and gated entrance, a double battery mill, a power station, and much much more. The mine is a massive beast, boasting at least 2200′ of linear drift workings to a huge lode that measured up to 3 feet wide. From this lode, a series of drifts and raises lead over 800′ down into the depths of the mine. The ores are rich with gold and silver.
Hodges Mine - California - 2016

05:08
The Hodges Mine is one of the largest mines in Southern California, and is known historically as the Roosevelt. It is one of many mines that fell under the umbrella of the Hodge claims. Known for its native gold in wide, rich veins, the Hodges mine has extensive workings and some of the best access imaginable.
Keystone Gold Mining Claim - Nevada - 2017

13:12
The Keystone, located just outside of Winnemucca, Nevada, covers an astounding 80 acres of workings from the historic Keystone and Tamzy mines. The Keystone was first developed on a small scale in around 1870. The majority of the work was done from 1936 to 1940 when the mine was owned by the Jones Brothers, before it was shut down by the War Act.

Black Metal Mine - California - 2016

04:00
On their trip through San Bernardino County, Corey and Jess came across a massive mine nestled up into the Old Woman Mountains. They only explored about 600' of workings, but estimate that the workings are much larger (especially as you go further down). This historic gold mine is a huge get for GRE.
FDR Mine - New Mexico - 2016

02:40
The FDR Mine is roughly 150ft from the second shaft in the area, which is part of a state land trust. While there are more adits on the state trust portion of the mine, the FDR portion boasts the same gold ore and is presumed to be connected to its neighbor underground.

Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ The Mingo is a lost treasure; likely worked prior to 1890 and then forgotten. The mine has been cut following the highest grade gold and quartz vein. There are other veins showing good ores that have scarcely been touched. There is also a high grade pile outside the mine. A placer claim covers the water that runs down the center of the claim, with fleck gold visible in the water.
Regan Gold Mine - Oregon - 2016

10:43
From 1902 to 1941, the Regan Mine was a lucrative operation, mostly run by small miners. In 1939, the mine was reportedly bought by the Paymaster Mining Company for over $200,000, but was soon shut down due to the War Act. The Regan mine is massive and its workings are relatively untouched. Currently, there is an abundance of processing equipment on the claim, including a crusher, a shaker, and a smelter. There is also a year round supply of water on the claim. This claim is perfect for small operations, which could grow into larger operations as the veins and deposits are further explored.
Silver Rock Mine, Castle Creek Dist., Idaho - Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc.

07:42
Another great property brought to you by Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. When you are ready to start your mining operation, think of us first! There is very limited information regarding the property. It was reportedly located in or around 1903. Initial silver outcrops turned out to be very limited and the claims were abandoned by 1905. Placer gold was located in 1906 in Castle Creek, placer operations were executed and miners worked up Castle Creek to the source of the gold. According to historical and local oral communication, gold was located in and around the Silver Rock Mine in 1910. An adit portal was driven 1500’ horizontally with a crosscut of 2000’ at 400’. Gold ore was found in oxidized iron and quartz veins. Gold was free-milling and required little processing beyond crushing and shaker tables. For those with a serious interest in the property we offer full technical reports on our properties. Historic World's Fair Mine - Arizona - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2015

12:02
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ The World's Fair Mine is a huge claim with an equally large past. Originally bought for a mere $100 dollars in the 1890s it would turn around to be one of the most successful mines in the area with hundreds of thousands in profits in its beginning years. Today the mine boasts more than 15,000 feet of workings across 6 different levels that plunge 450 feet into the ground. The US Forest surface has tried its best to bury this gem of a mine but with a notice of intent it can be easily re-opened. From the extensive mill site to the iron and gold stained ores this mine is a hotbed of potential for today's miner.
Mother Lode Mining Claim - Oregon - 2016

08:11
The Mother Lode claim is rare in that it has been worked for both gold and cinnabar. Gold and cinnabar samples are extremely rare and can sell for up to four times the price of gold alone. This claim has an entire processing site that is mostly intact. This includes a crusher, a shaker, and a mill, all in incredible shape. The mine itself will need to be cleared. The entrance will require some digging to access. It is estimated there is between 1800 to 2000 feet of workings on the main level of the mine. The Mother Lode began production in 1906 but was most recently worked in the 1960's for gold, all while the cinnabar processing mill stood idle.
Edison Gold Mining Claim - New Mexico - 2017

04:46
The Edison Mine is a historic lode and placer mine that was worked as early as the 1890s and through the 1930s by the Edison Mining and Milling Company. It is thought that the historic Anchor Mine and the Edison Mine are actually the same mine and the Anchor mine was the first prospect in the area.
Monte Carlo - Utah -2016

08:10
The Monte Carlo claim features a large mine and camp that likely hasn’t been accessed since the late 1930s. This mine is a great spot for casual mining and exploring the gold values that have largely been overlooked in the area.
Historic Abril Gold Mine, Tombstone, Arizona. Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc.

05:13
Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. surveyors noted appreciable amounts of native gold visible while at the mine site, both above and below ground. This gold appears to be in a pure form as can be noted by color, sheen and hardness. A series of adits access the mine workings which span a number of levels in the mountain and are all thought to interconnect. Mapping was acquired for the mine workings and supports this conclusion. This mine should be noted as a gold mine, although it has produced copper, some silver, and zinc, the primary commodity is gold in its native form. The mine is located a short distance out of Tombstone, Arizona on good dirt and 4WD roads. There are two technical spots on the road which are a result of seasonal water run off. Extreme caution should be exercised near these areas. Experienced 4WD drivers and operators should be consulted if there is any question of capability. It is recommended that the road be repaired by the claim owner. The Abril should be considered as an advanced brownfield property in that it is fully accessible underground in its current condition. This status indicates an ease of drilling and sampling throughout the ore bodies both above and below ground. The Abril Mine is located in the same general trend as the Middlemarch, Cobra Loma and other historical gold mines. The mine was privately held until at least 1992 and claimed to be secured and maintained. When surveyed and documented in 2016, the mine was found to be in excellent condition, slightly neglected but with no major work needed.
Sylvania Gold Mining Claim - Nevada - 2017

07:18
The Sylvania Mine Property, located in a remote area near the Nevada/California border, covers the old Bullion, 4 Aces and Sylvania Mines. The mine camp on the property has often been referred to as the “Ghost Town” Sylvania. But there was never any town of Sylvania, only the mine camp which was so expansive it had often been mistaken for an entire town. . . . . . Hornet Gold Mining Claim - New Mexico - 2017

05:13
The Hornet is a remote mining claim in the Red River District in New Mexico. Historical documents suggest a large camp on the claim, indicating gold production.
Grand Reef Mine - California - 2016

03:57
Jessica walks us through the Grand Reef Mine located right outside of San Bernardino, California. Littered with prospects and cuts, this mountainside mine is a great little dig. Along the way she explores the cabin on the claim, as well as the previous processing site. There is a complete ball mill, engine and leaching pond operation on the Grand Reef and a historic past of production up until the early 2000s. There is good free-milling gold in the veins and the crush/wash operation is set to maximize the return on the workings. This is a great opportunity for the Casual Use miner.
The Park Mine - Montana - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2015

05:22
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ Today on Gold Rush Media Corey walks us through the Park mine. The Park Mine works into the same mineralized faults as its neighbor, the Elkhorn mine, which is located 1/3 mile north-northeast of the Park Mine. The first shipment of ore from his Elkhorn mine yielded 300 ounces of silver per ton. This area is steeped in history. The tailings we saw from the Park were so amazingly rich and indicate the quality of ore found inside the mine. This mine however isn't for the trepid miner, it's going to take some work to get this mine back up and running, but this mine has every indication of paying high returns for that effort. This is a little teaser for the Park Claim. We will post it on our website sometime next week. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates on our new claims. https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/newsletter/
The Culverwell Mine -Delamar District, Lincoln County, Nevada

08:40
The Culverwell Mineral property is an established gold and silver mine located in Lincoln County, Nevada. The mine has limited documentation of production but shows average values of 1.44 oz/T AU and 2.31 oz/T AG. The mine was located by Mr. Charles Culverwell and Mr. William Culverwell in 1899. The mine was re-located by two miners in the resurgence of 1932 and documented production of 5 tons of ore containing 7.2 ounces of gold and 11.5 ounces of Silver. Waste Dumps at the mine were sampled and showed calcite, quartz, pyrites, raw gold, some silver and iron with likely tungsten and or molybdenum. The accessible workings in the mine consist of a haulage tunnel with some short offshoots and a stoped room where a gold ore body appears to have impacted a dike. There is a small headframe a winze of approximately 30’. At the bottom of this winze, there is an apparent drift cutting back on the same ore deposit as above. The lower level was not mapped or examined but it said to intersect with the workings of the upper two adits through a series of raises and other drifts. This information is unverified. In addition to the lower levels, also noted was a potential raise near the headframe, the passageway was extremely narrow and was likely an ore chute at one time, however, it is possible to attempt access to upper levels through this raise. The mine is noted for production of wire gold in iron and on quartz. Surveyors did not witness any wire gold, however, surveyors reported multiple instances of small gold deposition in the short offshoots of the haulage tunnel and some high-grade gold samples were removed from the main working room/stope. 28 lbs. of high-grade gold ores were sent for assay and returned a value of 22.9 oz/T in AU with only trace silver. This indicates that the gold deposits, when kept in a pure form have very little silver or other contaminates and could be crushed and washed as a way of processing with no chemicals needed. It also indicates that working specifically on the veins which are showing gold deposition within the mine would be the most lucrative plan for a small miner or mining company. Prodigal Gold Mine - Colorado - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2015

06:16
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ Today on Gold Rush Media we bring you the Prodigal Gold Mine. This big time mine located in Larimer County Colorado is a bucket of historical and economic potential. Although reclaimed in 2001 this mine still has a story to tell. An old miner's Cabin circa the late 1890s and fantastic Gated adit still make up this mine, along with two separate mining camps. There are rich Gold/Quartz tailings all around the site and possible Galena.
Providencia Mine - Arizona - 2016

04:52
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://goldrushexpeditions.com/fb-mi... Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpe... The Providencia Mine includes two shafts and over 600' of connected workings. The total working are much larger, and the tailings piles show extensive evidence of high grade gold ore.
Snyder Gold Mine -Mining Claim for Sale - Madison Co, Montana - 2016 -Gold Rush Expeditions

08:31
The Snyder is a massive mine site with a huge waste rock pile spanning 60 feet wide and 60 feet high. The waste pile comes from the two large adits on the claim that have naturally collapsed. There is a stream for placer operations, two cabins, and a large compressor on the site.
Emerson Gold Mine - Utah - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2015

13:22
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ Today on Gold Rush Media, Corey and Jessica Explore the Emerson Mine, a great little mine located in Beaver County, UT. The Emerson was clearly just getting started and never really tapped of all its potential when it was most likely abandoned in 1940s. There are old buckets of high grade ore stacked on the hill side and many ore rich veins inside the mines ready for the small time miner to process. This is a perfect site for those looking for gold and silver but also features crystallized minerals and gems. Rockhounds and Gold miners alike will find this mine to their liking. The BLM has placed gates on both Adits but they are easily bypassed. If you buy this mine we recommend modifying the current gates with a secure lock and door system. Overall the Emerson mining claim is a fantastic find and a real potential producer. The rich tailings and ore veins should speak volumes to the prospective buyer.
Monte Queen Mine - Colorado - 2015

07:50
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/s... Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpe... National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ The Monte Queen documented history dates back to the early 1900s and continues into the 1960s. This silver and gold producer is a rather substantial mine; based on the tailings likely 4000-4500’ of workings at a minimum. The mine has large rail and commercial grade electrical cordage coming out of it, another indication of the amount of ore being produced. Old records indicate silver pockets up to 2,000 ounces per ton.
Hilltop Seclusion Gold Mine for Sale - Oregon - 2016

02:06
The Hilltop Seclusion is a remote and rarely, if ever, visited claim just outside of John Day, Oregon. The claim is surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and the valleys below. There are two adits and a couple of prospects on the claim. The Hilltop Seclusion was historically mined for gold, and gold in quantity. Prior to 1900, over 750,000 ounces of rich, native gold had been extracted from the district. It was said that while the placer operations provided enough for the small miners, the real money was in locating the lodes in the hills above. Getting underground and locating those gold veins would be well worth the hard work.
Historic Elkhorn Gold Mine - Montana - 2016

04:45
The Elkhorn is likely one of the most productive, but undervalued abandoned mines in all of the western states. The old gold and silver mine is documented to have over 14 miles of drifting and workings on at least 3 well defined levels. It is one of the largest gold mines ever to be seen in Montana and still contains billions of dollars in reserves of gold, silver and copper.
Gold Rush Expeditions - Rockfield Mine - Colorado - 2015

08:03
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/s... Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpe... National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ The Rockfield is a monster, three adits that drive into the mountain with likely over 1800’ of workings. The gold is very rich in this area and was reported as high as 18 ounces per ton commercially. The Rockfield was last worked in the early 80's and a small section of the tailings were run through a crusher and trommel (still on site). There is gold in the mine, and in the stream below it. High value all around.
Snyder Mine - Arizona - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2015

15:34
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/store/mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc National Bureau of Mines: http://www.nationalbureauofmines.org/ This week at Gold Rush Media, Corey and Jessica Shuman walk us through the Snyder Mine in Tuscon Arizona. From the old mill on it's unassuming surface to the fantastic double shaft there is plenty to be learned from this historic mine. The Snyder Mine traces its roots back to the 1860s, and is one of those rare sites where native gold and horn silver occur in the same ore body. This makes it a perfect opportunity for today's miner providing rich sustainable ore bodies. There is easy culverted access on the surface and newly installed gates at each adit entrance. With a notice of intent, the BLM is required to supply the owner with keys. There are thousands of feet of workings and beautiful timber-work inside making this an economic and historically appealing claim.
Nada and Buckhorn Gold Mines - Broadwater Co, Montana - 2018

07:00
The Buckhorn and Nada Gold Mining Property is located on the southern end of the east flank of the Elkhorn Mountain range in the Quartzite Ridge District in Broadwater County, Montana. aka the Cedar Plains District. The property consists of three lode mineral claims totaling sixty (60) acres. The claims cover the workings of the Buckhorn and Nada Mines and all the related workings as they cross over a short ridgeline. Although the properties are in close proximity to eachother, the workings underground are not interconnected. The Buckhorn and Nada Mines are valuable for their gold deposits, which while not uncommon in the Radersburg district, are uncommon in the Quartzite Ridge District which is commonly known for Silver deposits. The Buckhorn and Nada are documented for free gold in iron oxides. These deposits have been verified by Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. surveyors inside the workings of the Nada Mine. The gold is visible to the naked eye and can be traced in various veins in the workings. There are some buildings and infrastructure above ground on the claims is quite extensive but not usable. The mine portals are open, accessible and provide easy access into the workings. The air was measured in both the Buckhorn and Nada Mines and found stable at 20%. The mines are cut into competent country rock and stable in their current state. The Nada Mine is an adit cut on a horizontal plane and intersecting several gold veins as mapped and contained in this report. The Buckhorn Mine consists of two steeply decline shafts of at least eighty feet. These mines will require rope and safety gear to access and have not been fully surveyed or documented. The shafts have a gating system and a door mechanism for access. Prior to Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. on site survey, the mines were last examined by Alexander Winchell of the US Bureau of Mines and United States Geological Society in 1914. Winchell reported the mines as maintained but not being worked. The anomalous gold deposits were also noted with visible free gold noted in several veins inside the workings. The mines are mentioned in a 1954 report by the USGS and again by Klepper of the USGS in 1971, however, neither surveyor bothered to examine the sites or the mines and simply regurgitated previous surveyor’s information.
Monarch Rand Gold Mine - California - 2018

03:14
Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. is happy to present The Monarch Rand Gold Mine. The Monarch Rand has a spotty history from its inception to present day. The mine has been noted for a large gold vein which is chased by the drift works. This vein is noted to be 3 ½ feet wide and carrying gold values of over 2 ounces per ton ($48.00 per ton with Gold priced at $20.75 per ounce). The mine is a massive old beast which has not been surveyed or mapped for at least 50 years. The original workings of the mine were reported to be 1600 feet. Today, there should be well over 4000' of workings in the mine.
Arrastra Gold Mining Claim - Arizona - 2017

09:55
The Arrastra Mine is a small set of workings on some likely very good gold deposits. This was a small scale mining operation, thought to have started in the late 1800s. It was likely worked intermittently until it was shut down in 1941 by the War Act. Sometime in the early 1960s, a miner by the name of George took the claim over and started working it. George stayed until he passed away in 1987 or 1989. The claim has a series of old buildings on it. The basic brick structure has been added on with awnings, an old camper, and various walls and doors. There is also an old workshop that is filled with old magazines and reading material. Many old implements that may have been used for mining. In addition, there is an early 1980s small pickup truck.
Mineral Hill Gold Mining Claim - Arizona - 2017

04:49
The Mineral Hill is a large and important mining claim in the Ellsworth District in La Paz County, Arizona. The mine site is spread along the Northwest Granite Wash Mountains. Gold prospects in these mountains were first discovered in the 1860s, but there was little work going on until after the completion of the railroad in the early 1900s. There are multiple open adits and shafts on the property, including one collared shaft with at least 100 feet of ladder. There was also a full mill and processing plant built on site.

A video of the Belmont Mill in White Pine County, Nevada. This was once a large silver, lead and gold operation. The Mill was built in 1925 by the Tonopah Belmont Development Mining Company to process ore from the Belmont Mine, which was located 1.8 miles away on the side of a mountain. Ore buckets traveled on cables from the mine to the mill. Once at the mill the rock from the ore cars was dumped and the processed through grinding, pulverizing, and then chemical processing to emerge as concentrates at bottom. The concentrates were then shipped off to Eureka, Nevada for further processing.
