How To Mine In Stonehearth

04:11
How to mine in Stonehearth. In This Step-Step guide i will show you the basics of mining in Stonehearth. A few additional notes from Reddit user: darthreuental; 1. When building tunnels, there are two primary colors of dirt: the common brown type and the grey type which are found in higher elevations or at lower points if you keep digging. 2. Brown dirt has few resources but is the only place you can get clay. 3. Grey dirt has more of everything -- especially stone. 4. In addition, you will come across nodes of certain ore in your mines. Not sure if these occur in brown dirt, but they definitely do in grey. If you're looking for a particular ore in high quantities (like iron), keep an eye out. The color of these deposits match that of the ore. Transcript: Hello and welcome to another Stonehearth tutorial. Today we are looking at mining. now we mine in Stonehearth by clicking on the harvest button and once the harvest tab comes up we click on the mine tunnel icon. and as you can see a 4 x 4 block appears and this is the area that is going to be mined. Now we go ahead and click that. Our little guys will go ahead and dig that through. as you can see the 4 x 4 section has been dug out and that has lead us one block in. we can go ahead and dig a little further by clicking again on the mine tunnel tab and clicking on the area we want to mine. This will mine again a 4 x 4 space. if we want to see our progress we click on the slice button, the terrain slice vision and then we can see the progress we are making through the mine. now this can be altered so we can go up. and down. This works in 4x4 blocks much like the mining tool. You can also use the x-ray vision button. to see a complete overview of all the altered terrain. so with our slice vision activated we can go ahead and mine a tunnel. now this will give our guys a little extra work to do so we don’t have to keep coming back. now the guys are finished but you will notice they haven’t actually acquired any stone or ore or any items at all. This is because they are digging directly into dirt as opposed to stone or clay. I’m just going to go ahead and clear out a large area so we have some ground to play with. Were about half way finished and have managed to pick up a few mounds of clay and a couple of hunks of stone. so once the guys have finished we can take a look at the items acquired from digging into dirt. now there are options to progress from here, we can either jet out into all directions or dig up or down. Now we click on our mining tunnel and dig straight down as option one. You may notice not all of the workers got stuck so we can use these guys on top to build a ladder. so if we dig across now all we are going to do is expose a trench so now we dig down a further block. Once we have done this we will build a ladder again, so we go into our design tab here called build and design then select construct a ladder. Now we have built our ladder going down we can use our slice tool to follow the shaft down. We then open up our mine tool once again and mine outwards. Now this method is really useful for if there are no resources at your current level and you need to dig up or down to locate them. I’m just going to go ahead and mine a larger area. not too large this time. now if your not to keen on the ladder option we can go ahead and build a staircase. We can do it with the mine block tool. I find selecting blocks individually is best to be most accurate. like so. now we continue that all the way through until we build our staircase. now here we have the completed staircase in the mineshaft so if we go ahead and use our slice tool we can scan through the different layers right to the bottom. and of course this same technique can be used to build staircases up and down throughout your tunnels. now just because your done mining in the area it doesn’t mean you have to be done with the space. it has a single access point so its very easy to defend against goblin raiders and the undead. and now we have a staircase we have a lower ground and an upper ground and on the lower ground we have our bedding. We can create as many floors and as intricate as we want and have our very own city under the ground! I hope this video has been informative and if it has then give it a like! I will continue to make videos like this one. I hope to see you next time. Ciao! Introduction to some of the elements of the Industrial Revolution, more on this subject to come! The economic developments of the 1800s saw the development of agrarian and handicraft economies in Europe and America transform into industrial urbanised ones. The term to describe this phenomenon would be known as the ‘Industrial Revolution’ and was first used by French writers, but made popular by English economic historian Arnold Toynbee. While very few leaders were beheaded in the course of this one, it changed the lives of more people more dramatically than any of the political revolutions we've discussed. So, why did the Industrial Revolution happen around 1750 in the United Kingdom? Coal. Easily accessible coal, it turns out. All this, plus you'll finally learn the difference between James Watt and Thomas Newcomen, and will never again be caught telling people that your blender has a 900 Newcomen motor. Snowdon Walk - Pyg Track / Miner's Track - Snowdonia

10:54
Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, is 1085m at its summit and has some of the best views in the UK which are reached using several well used paths. This was a walk we made up to the summit from Pen-y-Pass using the Pyg Track to ascend and the Miner's Track to come back down. We went up on the 25th May 2012 starting at about 9am, and got to the top at about 12.15pm. Weather was absolutely fantastic, no clouds, and the views were outstanding. However, I did get eaten alive by the midges which were crowding around the people at the summit. Will definitely be back to Snowdonia and Snowdon. Big Muskie - The Largest Walking Dragline Ever Built

04:55
Standing 22 stories tall and weighing 13,500 metric tons, Big Muskie was the world's largest dragline and the biggest machine that has ever walked on the face of the earth. With the boom down, it was almost 500 ft in length. Big Muskie was a coal mining Bucyrus-Erie dragline owned by the Central Ohio Coal Company. It removed more than twice the amount of earth moved during the construction of the Panama Canal. Its bucket could hold two Greyhound buses side by side. I was talking to a guy in a bar in Fort Stockton,Texas in 2001. When I told him I was from Ohio he said he just came back from Ohio. He was on a crew that was cutting up "Big Muskie". He said he was there a year outside of Zanesville. He was surprised that I never heard of Big Muskie. I was surprised when he said it took a year to cut up. Here's why.....

Meet Crossrail's giant tunnelling machines

06:34
Crossrail will use eight tunnel boring machines (TBMs) to construct the new tunnels under London. These huge machines will work 24 hours a day beneath the streets of London, excavating large volumes of ground and erecting the concrete tunnel lining. Each machine has a rotating cutter head at the front, and a series of trailers behind, housing all the mechanical and electrical equipment required for the excavation of material. To construct the 42km of tunnel required for Crossrail the tunnel boring machines will undertake ten individual tunnel drives to construct the 6.2m diameter rail tunnels. Each TBM weighs approximately 1000 tonnes and will be up to 140m in length with an external diameter of 7.1m. This allows for an inside tunnel diameter of 6.2m once the concrete tunnel segments are in place. Each TBM will be operated by a 'tunnel gang' comprising of around twenty people - twelve people on the TBM itself and eight people working from the rear of the machine to above ground. To find out more about our tunnel boring machines visit: http://www.crossrail.co.uk/tunnelling/ http://www.crossrail.co.uk/

SUBNAUTICA Gameplay - Part 17 ► Primary Containment Facility ◀

49:27
Let's Play Subnautica ... we search for the location of the entrance to the Primary Containment Facility! A sandbox game by Unknown Worlds that combines elements of action-adventure productions and RPGs. As the game’s universe draws inspiration from such novels as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, at the bottom of the ocean you can find bizarre sea monsters, as well as remnants of futuristic buildings and ships. The player assumes the role of a captain of an advanced submarine, and explores the depths of the ocean. The game’s characteristic feature is the ability to design vessels and determine such things as performance, layout, on-board mechanisms, and materials used for the construction. You begin with rather primitive ships, but as you progress you will be able to construct more advanced vessels, and explore previously unavailable parts of the ocean. While playing, you can freely walk around your ship, and even go outside to explore the marine world on your own. Charles Jencks, “The Architecture of the Multiverse”

01:50:30
Charles Jencks AB ’61 BArch ’65 is a cultural theorist, landscape designer, and architecture historian. Among his many influential books are Meaning in Architecture (1969), The Language of Post-Modern Architecture (1977), Adhocism: The Case for Improvisation (with Nathan Silver, 1972), The Daydream Houses of Los Angeles (1978), Bizarre Architecture (1979), and The Architecture of the Jumping Universe (1997). He is also co-founder of the Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres, named for his late wife Maggie Keswick, and has written about this project in The Architecture of Hope (2015). Jencks has taught and lectured widely and served on numerous juries and selection committees; his work has been recognized with numerous awards and honorary degrees. As a landscape designer, Jencks has completed several projects in Scotland, including the Garden of Cosmic Speculation (2007) and Jupiter Artland (2010). In his lecture, he will speak about his ongoing project the Crawick Multiverse, about which he writes: The cosmos is almost the measure of all things and provides a referent and subject, a focus otherwise hard to find in present day society. With a few architects the patterns of nature and the architecture of the universe have partly reemerged as a shared meaning and iconography. At the same time the Multiverse has emerged on the agenda among scientists. Is this now a subject of thought and ultimate meaning? I have explored it in the architecture of the multiverse, an unfinished project. Where it leads, the imagination follows.

Inner Mongolia Vice Chair Sacked over Mineral Resources

04:42
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews The vice chairman of the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Pan Yiyang, was recently investigated over allegations of a serious disciplinary violation, according to the CCP's central discipline organ. Mainland media say the case is related to the mining industry; Pan is the second Inner Mongolian ministerial-level official to be sacked following the downfall of Wang Suyi, the former head of the united front work department. Along with four other members of the CCP central committee Li Chuncheng from Sichuan, Wang Yongchun from Petro-China, Wan Qingliang from Guandong, and Chen Chuanping from Shanxi—Pan Yiyang is the fifth to be sacked. One week before his dismissal, two other Inner Mongolian officials, Wang Zhenkun and Ren Wuwen, were investigated. Pan Yiyang had been in Jiangxi and Ganzhou for seven years, advocating the restructuring of rare earth resources. In 2010, he was transferred to Inner Mongolia, another major rare earth mining area in China, leading the financial fields. In 2014, he was put in charge of comprehensive economic management and development, after the reorganization of the local government. Mainland media say Pan Yiyang was involved in corruptionover mining resources. The fourth inspection team had criticized the prominence of corruption in Inner Mongolia, over the allocation of mineral resources and bidding, as early as last September. The eighth inspection team then targeted Jiangxi's loopholes in mineral protection, development and management. Jiangxi Gannan is known as one of China's non-ferrous metal mining sites and a ‘rare earth kingdom’ for its complete mines of light, medium and heavy-content rare earth metals. Inner Mongolia has become the largest site in the rare earth mining industry, in China and in the world. It has formed a complete industrial chain for rare mineral processing, smelting, separation, research and application. China politics watcher Hua Po: "People in a country or region that has valuable resources should lead wealthy lives.” “But it's not the case in China; people with vested interests and dignitaries monopolize precious valuables.” “The wealth passed down the interest chain is enormous; I believe Pan Yiyang must have had a slice of the pie as the leader in the area—he was just one person at the front, but there must have been more behind the scenes benefitting." Foreign media have previously reported that the family of the incumbent Politburo Standing Committee, Liu Yunshan, controls a large number of Inner Mongolian mineral resources including coal and molybdenum-ore. Liu Yunshan grew up in Inner Mongolia and after graduating from Jining University in 1968, he served in Inner Mongolia until 1993, before leaving for Beijing. On Oct. 16, 2010, Liu Yunshan congratulated the founding of the Inner Mongolia Chile Culture Research Association, which was also inaugurated by Wang Suyi, from the standing committee of Inner Mongolia. Wang Suyi was sentenced to life imprisonment in July, for taking bribes. The head of the central propaganda department, Liu Yunshan began including Inner Mongolian military theory in 2011, as one of 10 advanced groups of theories publically taught. Hua Po: "Both Liu Yunshan and Zeng Qinghong's families are involved—Zeng had once gone on an inspection tour to South Africa to include the country in the project. they've plundered the mineral resources and left the people with only environmental destruction.” In June 2004, then Vice-president Zeng Qinghong visited South Africa and stressed the fruitful cooperation of China and South Africa in energy and mining. Official data shows that in 2004, South Africa had mainly imported "minerals or its products" from China. Overseas media also exposed Chu Huibin—son of Chu Bo, the former CCP secretary in Inner Mongolia—saying he had profiteered through speculating in the buying and selling of mineral resources. After the central disciplinary organ's investigation, Chu Huibin gave a coal mine worth hundreds-of-millions to the son of Zeng Qinghong to settle the investigation. Independent columnist, Liu Yiming: "Every senior Politburo Standing Committee member has his chain of interest from top to bottom, with the standing committee on the top; as everyone's implicated, they ignore each other's crimes." The CCP's excessive mining has caused a rapid destruction of grassland in Inner Mongolia. Data shows that as early as in 2006, nearly 60% of the total land area had turned into desert, and sandy areas had also increased up to 40% of the total land. Local herders are extremely indignant to the CCP for destroying their future and livelihoods. When petitioning didn't work, some herders tried to block the mining trucks and ended up being crushed alive. 《神韵》2014世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/

Mamo Pedro Juan and Santos Sauna: "The Kogi Success Story in Colombia" | Talks at Google

57:32
Traditional rainforest healer and Kogi Shaman Mamo Pedro Juan and Kogi political leader Santos Sana comes to speak at Google from Colombia. The Kogi Indians of northern Colombia have been called "The Dalai Lamas of South America" because of their wisdom, their pacifism and their unequalled respect for tradition. Living on or near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, their traditional lands range from the snow fields atop the mountain down to the coral reefs of the Caribbean, meaning that they are one of the few indigenous cultures in the Americas managing highland, lowland and marine ecosystems. In fact, it was the Kogi who, in calling attention to melting glaciers over twenty years ago, served as some of the first harbingers of climate change. Now the Kogis have joined forces with the Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) and the government of Colombia to protect and manage their sacred sites, protect their culture and resist climate change. This talk, presented by the Kogi's extremely eloquent political leader and one of their Paramount Shamans, will share details of their inspiring progress to date, their uniquely intertwined vision of conservation and spirituality, and the special significance of the lands and reefs that they seek to permanently protect. Additional information at Mongabay: http://news.mongabay.com/2013/0528-colombia-sacred-sites.html The photos of the Kogi were taken by Richie Rey, Liliana Madrigal, and Brian Hettler.

Thorium.

06:27:00
http://ThoriumRemix.com/ Thorium is an abundant material which can be transformed into massive quantities of energy. To do so efficiently requires a very different nuclear reactor than the kind we use today- Not one that uses solid fuel rods, but a reactor in which the fuel is kept in a liquid state. Not one that uses pressurized water as a coolant, but a reactor that uses chemically stable molten salts. Such a reactor is called a "Molten Salt Reactor". Many different configurations are possible. Some of these configurations can harness Thorium very efficiently. This video explores the attributes of Molten Salt Reactors. Why are they compelling? And why do many people (including myself) see them as the only economical way of fully harnessing ALL our nuclear fuels... including Thorium. This video has been under development since 2012. I hope it conveys to you why I personally find Molten Salt Reactors so compelling, as do the many volunteers and supporters who helped create it. Much of the footage was shot by volunteers. It lies on the River Dearne, 11.8 miles (19 km) north of the city of Sheffield, 17 miles (27 km) south of Leeds and 14.5 miles (23 km) west of Doncaster. Barnsley is surrounded by several smaller settlements which together form the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, of which Barnsley is the largest and the administrative centre. The metropolitan borough had a population of 218,063 at the 2001 UK Census; Barnsley Urban Area had a population of 71,599.[1] Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Barnsley is notable as a former industrial town centred on coal mining and glassmaking [2] although in the town a few factories remain notably the glassworks and coking plant. Though these industries demised in the 20th century, Barnsley's local culture remains rooted in this industrial heritage; Barnsley has a tradition of brass bands, originally created as social clubs for its mining communities. It is between junctions 36 and 38 of the M1 motorway and has a railway station served by the Hallam and Penistone Lines. Barnsley F.C. is the local football club.

Go! Go! Smart Wheels Treasure Mountain Train Adventure from VTech

02:26
All aboard the fun train with Go! Go! Smart Wheels Treasure Mountain Train Adventure! You can search for gold while also sorting shapes and learning first words! This large train set is more than 4.5 feet wide! This video shows you all the cool features, from lights and sounds to a motorized train! For full review and shopping info►https://ttpm.com/p/20043/vtech/go-go-smart-wheels-treasure-mountain-train-adventure/?ref=yt Product Info: Go on a treasure hunt with the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Treasure Mountain Train Adventure. This track set comes with a motorized freight train that will chug around the track through tunnels and up hills all on its own. And there is a lot of track to chug around. The whole track set is more than 4.5 feet wide when set up following the instructions. You can create your own configurations, too. Plus, it has nine SmartPoint locations, and when the freight train rides over one of these SmartPoints, kids will hear fun phrases (“Here I go!”, “Head to the gold mine!”), music, train sound effects, and more. Off the track, kids can press the train’s light-up button to hear more phrases, music, and tunes. It will tell kids its name (“I’m Forrest. I’m a fabulous freight train!”), talk about the letter “F” (“’F’ is for freight train!”), and sing three sing-along songs. There are more than 45 songs, melodies, sounds, and phrases for kids to discover with the train both on and off the track. The train is motorized, but if kids want to push the train around the track themselves, just flip the switch to manual mode. Kids can also play with the track set’s other features. Pretend to mine for gold in the mountain by hammering the three shape sorter blocks through the mineshaft using the mine hammer. Each piece will roll down the mountain where it can be loaded onto the train. As the train pushes through the gate in front of the mountain, a shape sorter block will be released into the cargo car. Or wait for the cargo car to pass under the mineshaft and try to hammer the shape sorter blocks onto it. The gold mine also includes rotating gears and a crane for moving the shapes around. The track and the train are compatible with other Go! Go! Smart Wheels and Go! Go! Smart Animals playsets and vehicles, which are sold separately. ✮SEE MORE TOYS✮ BATMAN V SUPERMAN: http://ttpm.com/p/17136/mattel/batman-v-superman-batman-voice-changer-helmet/?ref=yt YO-KAI WATCH: http://ttpm.com/p/16703/hasbro/yokai-watch-noko/?ref=yt TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES PARTY WAGON: http://ttpm.com/p/16637/mega-bloks/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-party-wagon/?ref=yt ✮SUBSCRIBE TTPM Toy Reviews✮ https://www.youtube.com/c/ttpm ✮SUBSCRIBE TTPM Baby Gear Reviews✮ https://www.youtube.com/c/ttpmbaby ✮SUBSCRIBE TTPM Pet Toys & Gear Reviews✮ https://www.youtube.com/c/ttpmpets ✮SUBSCRIBE TTPM First Look Toys Unboxing✮ https://www.youtube.com/c/ttpmfirstlooktoys ✮FOLLOW US✮ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TTPMOfficial Twitter: https://twitter.com/ttpm Instagram: https://instagram.com/ttpmofficial/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/ttpmofficial/ Snapchat: TTPMOfficial: https://www.snapchat.com/add/ttpmofficial ✮FOLLOW TTPM Baby✮ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TTPMBaby/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/TTPMbaby Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ttpmbaby/ ✮FOLLOW TTPM Pets✮ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TTPMPets Twitter: https://twitter.com/TTPMPets Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ttpmpets/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/ttpmpets/ Disclosure: Toys reviewed by TTPM are selected by the TTPM editorial team from submissions from manufacturers who provide the samples for review consideration. The invention of colour

48:43
Philip Ball, Big Ideas in Science lecture, University of Bristol http://www.bristol.ac.uk/science/courses/undergraduate/ How did art get its colour? Today, the artist's palette is arguably taken for granted, with more than a rainbow of colours available to the painter. And yet were it not for chemistry and the inventions enabled by the evolution of industry and technology, many of the colours that we know today may not have emerged. In this lecture, one of a series hosted by the University of Bristol exploring some of the cornerstone ideas across the sciences, writer and Bristol Physics graduate Philip Ball talks about the intersection of art, science and creativity. He shows how in order to truly understand the history of art, one must appreciate the origins of the artist's palette and the process followed by such greats as Van Gogh and Picasso in creating their masterpieces.

HAUNTED CONVICTS TUNNEL | Wombwell Woods, Barnsley UK | Paranormal Investigation

23:45
For this investigation I have decided to investigate the alleged Convicts Tunnel in Wombwell, Barnsley UK. The History of the Tunnel is in the 1800's the nearby fields were Camp Sites for Convicts that were being transported to Prison. Members of the public have said that if your stand inside the tunnel you can hear and feel the train that once passed through. Also disembodied voices have been heard and shadow figures have claimed to be seen. I definitely feel a presence was trying to make itself known and seemed to want to communicate with my Cameraman Ash. Something was definitely mocking me and playing around with my equipment not to mention claiming to be 'EVIL' I would love to hear your thoughts of this investigation and to hear your own personal experiences. I hope you enjoy what I do. Feel free to check the Investigations in full on my channel. Please SUBSCRIBE to be the first to watch future investigations before anyone else.
