Rescape in progress, Talking Cryptocoryne Wendtii & Aponogetifolia..

02:16
Finally the rescape is happening! The tank is being emptied in this video, and i show a fairly big Cryptocoryne Wendtii. I also show one of the Cryptocoryne Aponogetifolias in my tank. This is a plant any fishkeeper should try forces with at sometime, it can handle low light, tanks without fertilizing (although root tabs is always a good idea), it can even handle a cichlid tank without getting eaten! Beautiful plant, that propagates fast once it has settled in, and faster yet if it has nutrients available.. As always, thank you very much for watching. I'm now on Skype! Add 'd-slayer'. Also, check out my facebook page if you want to talk, show me your tank, or be notified when new videos are uploaded. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christians-Fishtanks/312041208822588 You can find me on fishtanktv.com 's chat, join the community! http://fishtanktv.com/profile/ChristianKrogh#en.

Most of the plants are showing new growth and the tank is doing well. Loving the planted tank. HOW TO KEEP Crypts in a planted tank: Cryptocoryne spiralis, Species Sunday's Crypts!

03:07
Cryptocoryne spiralis is a really hardy aquarium plant that I just started keeping. I really like how hardy it is. It has tougher leaves than most crypts. Cryptocoryne spiralis didn't even melt when i put it in the tank. I love the big tall leafs it has on it. The roots on Cryptocoryne spiralis are awesome and bigger than more crypts I have seen. I am really liking this crypt and am eager to see how tall it gets and how far it can shoot off a runner from one end of the tank to another. Great Crypt hardy. recommended for beginners even! Undescribed species of Limia from Select Aquatics and interesting little corys from a local chain pet store. Really like the broken pots as hides. Definitely sanded down any sharp edges. Fluval Edge 12 gallon - Heavily Planted

00:44
I bought this Fluval Edge back in August. Unhappy with the included equipment, I ended up modifying pretty much everything. Removed the HOB filter and added an Eheim 2213 canister, with a Hydor 200 inline heater and an Ista Max Mix inline CO2 reactor. The factory LED light was removed and replaced with an AquaRay 400 mini tile by TMC. Compressed CO2 via a 20 oz paintall tank and an AquaTek mini regulator, along with a bubble counter feeds inline directly into the tank. Glass drop checker is used to monitor CO2. I also replaced the Eheim inflow and outflow pipes with the CalAqua mini fluxus lily pipes. They are beautiful! Being such a small tank, I wanted to keep all the equipment outside, and so now all that is slightly visible is the glass drop checker and the glass lily pipes. Eco completely substrate Plants: Dwarf baby tears (Hemianthus Callitrichoides; HC) Anubias var. nana Java Moss (Vesicularia Dubyana) Red Cabomba (Cabomba Pulcherrima) Red Tiger Lotus (Nymphaea Zenkeri) Ludwigia Peruensis Alteranthera Reinekii Limnophila aromatica 'hippuroides' Cryptocoryne Wendtii "red" Cryptocoryne Wendtii Bronze (Tropica) Cryptocoryne Balansae Amazon Sword (Echinodorus Bleheri)

Aquascape using Tropica Plants, Substrate and Fertilizers in a Fluval Roma 90

04:06
Hi everyone thank you for taking the time to watch the video Please read below This aquascape was created by myself in a Fluval Rome 90, it took about 7 hours from start to finish. Most of the time was taken up tying plants and mosses onto the Manzinita Wood. This is the first time i have attempted something like this and i hope you all like it. The wood that was placed on the bottom was covered in Taxiphyllum sp. 'Spiky' moss and hopefully i can sculpt that nicely as it grows. Along side them i used Staurogyne Repens, Eleocharis Parvula and Echinodorus Tenellus these should hopefully spread out and with abit of work should create a nice semi carpet. On the upright piece of wood i used Anubias sp. 'Petite', Microsorum Pteropus 'Narrow' and Taxiphyllum sp. 'Spiky' moss. The moss was fastened using a single piece of wire in the center to try and encourage the moss to grow into a circular shape (fingers crossed) In the back left corner of the tank i added some Vallisneria Nana, as this grows it should flow across the top of the tank creating a small bit of shade. Scattered around the bottom of the tank in selected locations i used Cryptocoryne x Willisii, Hygrophila Corymbosa 'Siamensis', Hygrophila Polysperma 'Rosanervig' and Cyrptocoryne Beckettii 'Petchii'. I hope you all enjoyed the video, below you will find details of the setup: Level of difficulty: Easy Volume: 90L (Fluval Roma 90) Dimentions: 60 x 35 x 45 cm Substrate: Tropica Substrate, plus JBL Sansibar 'River' Black Light: Fluval Aqualife and Plant LED Strip Light CO2: 3-5 mg/L Heat: 24c Filter: Odyssea CFS 500 External Canister Filter Fertilizer: 12ml Tropica Premium 12ml Tropica Specialized per week Time consumption/week: 1 hour Tropica Plants Used: Echinodorus tenellus (x3) Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii' (x1) Anubias sp. Center View of 125 Gallon Planted Tank

02:49
This is an update on my 125 gallon planted tank. Please excuse my lazy ass for not completing the canopy. It has been more than a year... Too many projects. Too little time. On the "bright" side, it provides the room with great lighting. The plant growth has exploded with CO2 injection. The Anubias on the right is a jungle of its own. Believe it or not, the Cryptocoryne Wendtii towards the middle came from a single dinky, little plant. I finally achieved one of my goals in aquascaping: grow a carpet. The carpet was a lot nicer, but I had to rip it apart awhile back to get rid of the remaining Dwarf Sagittaria and Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard. The carpet in the middle is mostly Marsilea Quadrafolia and some Marsilea Crenata mixed in. The left side has Staurogyne Repens as a carpet, but the Marsilea is slowly creeping its way over. I moved the Red Tiger Lotus to the left and it has taken off. The Lotus kept shooting out lily pads almost everyday and I had to trim it down because the lily pads were blocking out too much light. To the right of the Tiger Lotus is a Hygrophila Corymbosa Kompakt I believe. This plant has always struggled. I think the Hygrophila would do a lot better if I were to dose ferts. As for the fish, there were many casualties. At one point, I had eight Angel Fish in the tank. Two died and I gave four to the local fish store. I couldn't bear the fighting between the Angel Fish. I even saw a Neon Tetra inside an Angel Fish's mouth. He spit out the Neon and the fish was still alive! It was a very disturbing site. Eventually, I'm going to move the two remaining Angels back to my 40 gallon tank and try to breed them. About a month ago, I noticed eggs were scattered everywhere on the glass in the 125. I knew the eggs were not from the Angel Fish. Angel Fish usually lay their eggs tightly together. Two nights later, all the eggs disappeared and I assumed my Plecos ate them all. About a week before I posted this video, I noticed something small was moving in the tank. It was a baby Bronze Cory. Six baby Cories survived! As for the tank, I'm think I am going to stick with small schooling fish. Maybe Cardinal Tetras. There is only one more bully in the tank I have to deal with: The Siamese Algae Eater... I don't know what to do with him. Lights: www.rapidled.com CO2: www.aquariumplants.com Top Layer: Flourite Black Middle Layer: Flourite Original Bottom Layer: Miracle Grow Organic Potting Soil
