Sierra Leone, The Devil Story of Marampa Mines, 1971
The masked Devils of Sierra Leone are not synonymous with Lucifer, but rather evolved as secular spirits from ethnic pagan tradition. The stereotype word "Devil" was probably attached to these mystical dancers by outside forgien observers many years ago. Masked Devils are often dashing characters of notable energy, serving various functions such as: protector, bearer of good luck, ancestral keeper, participants in ceremony or dancers for amusement. Most Devils are taken seriously and possess supernatural power. Other Devils don't necessasarily possess supernatural power but rather dance for entetainment. Fun Devils often dance for money as well as merriment. Masked Devils play an important roll in Secret Societies, helping to train young people to be good citizens. Story told and recorded in 1971.

Cape Lambert (ASX:CFE) Executive Chairman Tony Sage Provides Company Update and Investment Plans
Cape Lambert Resources Ltd (ASX:CFE) (OTCMKTS:CMULF) is back on the hunt for investment and acquisition opportunities following the recently announced settlement with the Australian Tax Office. Executive chairman Tony Sage said this has been a "huge overhang" for the Company over the past two and a half years and the company will now move forward to "what it does best"; acquire and invest in under-valued mining assets. "The Company will be looking to capitalise on funding pressures within the resources sector through the evaluation and advancement of suitable investment opportunities that have been presented to it in recent months," Mr Sage said. On August 1st Cape Lambert announced it had reached a settlement with the ATO over a $96 million notice of amended assessment issued by the ATO in 2012. The remaining A$79 million liability was reduced to A$2.4 million as part of the settlement, and Cape Lambert will now have A$62 million in available carry forward losses to use against future taxable income. What is of particular interest, especially in the current market, is that Cape Lambert will have a healthy balance sheet following settlement with cash, receivables and listed securities of A$94 million, including unrestricted cash of A$65 million and no debt. Investment in new projects will be guided by the mantra of selecting undervalued assets that fit the bill of "what the buyers want".. "At the moment the flavours of the month are graphite and lithium," Mr Sage said, "We will now go out with the cash in the bank with a more positive attitude in acquiring some assets." Management focus will also shift back to existing projects in Cape Lambert's portfolio, including the Marampa iron ore project in Sierra Leone, where the company is in the process of obtaining a mining license. Attention will also be paid to selling Cape Lambert's royalty interest in the Mayoko iron ore project, which the company negotiated as part of the asset sale to Stirling Minerals Limited (later renamed African Iron Limited), and subsequently taken over by South African miner Exxaro in March 2012. The royalty is equal to A$1 per tonne shipped from the project. The Wolfsberg lithium project in Austria, owned by Global Strategic Metals Ltd (which Cape Lambert owns 28% of) is also scheduled for an AIM-listing in London to secure new investor support with a market more familiar with the project. Sage said that the Company intends to implement a distribution to shareholders, the full details have not been determined as yet. "The Cape Lambert Board, with the potential A$79M in liabilities removed from its balance sheet and its cash position now certain, will meet in the coming days to finalise plans for a distribution to shareholders, details of which will be announced in the next week," Mr Sage said. The Company will also continue with its share buy-back which commenced in early 2014. Cape Lambert's ability to go on the acquisition drive has been strengthened with the settlement with the Metallurgical Corporation of China Limited (MCC) recently, which saw the Company receive A$51.6 million for the disputed payment from the sale of the Cape Lambert magnetite iron ore project to MCC.

30 Year License For UK Company In Greenland
Greenland has awarded UK-based company London Mining a 30-year licence to build and run a giant iron ore mine. Greenland's industry minister called it the largest commercial project in the autonomous Danish territory's history. London Mining is expected to seek investment partners for the multi-billion dollar project. Some opponents say the open-cast mine will cause environmental damage; others are concerned about plans to bring in up to 3,000 mainly Chinese workers. The iron ore deposit is located 150km (about 90 miles) from Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. In a statement on its website, London Mining said the mine was expected to produce 15m tonnes a year of "very high quality iron ore concentrate to the global steel industry". It said the ore concentrate could be shipped year round from a dedicated deep water port. Safeguards The Greenland government hopes the mine will boost the economy, which is largely dependent on fishing and subsidies from Denmark. "This is indeed a historic moment for Greenland," said Industry and Minerals Minister Jens-Erik Kirkegaard. He said "the largest commercial project to date in Greenland" would boost employment and state revenues - in line with a pledge made by the governing Social Democrats to draw foreign companies to help tap Greenland's resources. The project, known as Isua, is expected to bring in 3,000 workers to Greenland, which has a population of about 56,000, to help build and operate the mine and related infrastructure. London Mining, in a report from June 2010, said it had "identified significant economies of scale, and the involvement of Chinese construction groups is anticipated to deliver significant cost savings". Environmentalists say they want reassurances that the exploitation of the deposits will not come at the cost of extensive environmental damage. "I really hope that the Greenland government has sold itself at a high price, so that London Mining lives up to far stricter requirements than they originally would have done," said Gitte Seeberg, the secretary general of WWF Denmark. She said the Greenland government should insist that the mine be powered by hydroelectric power rather than diesel, and that there should be safeguards to deal with problems such as the dramatic increase in traffic.
