Thousands of mining jobs are waiting in Western Australia but Aussies don’t want them: https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/mining/thousands-of-mining-jobs-are-waiting-in-western-australia-but-aussies-dont-want-them/news-story/9abb09bee9c85fc6419597a14e77df3e. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd_ODCcrc4jEWgi4qYyy0wg?sub_confirmation=1  From 2012 to 2016, the mining industry experienced a severe downturn, culling close to 60,000 jobs and making full-time work an almost impossible get. But now, especially in Western Australia and Queensland, the mining industry is on the road to recovery — and companies are begging Aussies to come and work for them. According to the latest data from SEEK, the mining, resource and energy sector has consistently recorded the largest growth in job ads for the past 11 months. The sector is throwing out 32 per cent more job ads now than it was at the same time last year and is posting almost four times more job ads than Australia’s average. But just because mining companies are putting out thousands of ads and offering salaries paying well over $150,000 doesn’t mean Aussies are picking them up. Earlier this week, the CEO of WA’s Chamber of Minerals and Energy backed a migration agreement that would hopefully combat a severe skills shortage in the mining region of the Goldfields. If approved, the Designated Area Migration Agreement would allow overseas workers to be flown over to work in the mines and would make them exempt from the skilled migrants requirement. Chief executive Paul Everingham told the ABC there were more than 1000 vacancies in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder mining sector and said the region was at crisis point.  “You can’t sugar coat that — they’re available now and they’re not being filled, so however you can get them (workers),” Mr Everingham said. “All Australian companies want to employ Australians first, but if there aren’t enough Australians … we have got to remember there’s an infrastructure boom going on in NSW. “So if we have to set up special immigration or work zones, our members would definitely welcome the ability to get access to skilled workers immediately.” The WA mining industry is advertising for thousands of jobs ranging from cleaners to tradesmen to university-educated engineers. But following Mr Everidge’s comments, a number of people involved in the state’s mining industry have said more needs to be done to make relocating an attractive proposition. Despite the huge salaries fly-in fly-out workers earn, most complain of having no work-life balance. FIFO workers typically have higher rates of suicide, struggle with depression due to long hours and loneliness and report higher rates of workplace bullying and alcoholism. In 2015, the West Australian government conducted a 10-month investigation into the state’s FIFO workforce. Lifeline WA admitted in October last year it still had no idea exactly how many FIFO workers were affected by mental illness or how many had committed suicide while away from their families to work in the state’s mines. Even the report issued after the lengthy investigation admitted “the inquiry struck several problem areas in relation to statistics”. “Clear data was difficult to find in the areas of: a definitive total number of workers employed in the Western Australia resources industry on a FIFO #Thousands, #mining, #jobs, #waiting, #WesternAustralia, #Aussies, #don’t, #want, #them #miningindustry, #mentalillness, #mentalhealth, #workersdying, #miningindustryaccounts, #flyinflyoutworkers, #Australiangovernment, #miningsector, #resourcesindustry, #Australiancompanies, #parttimework, #miningcompanies, #miningregion, #mentalhealthissues, #migrationagreement, #skilledmigrantsrequirement, #Companiestalk, #miningjobs, #worklifebalance, #suicidestatistics, #prevalencerate, #suiciderates, #crisispoint, #energysector, #productionsites, #skillsshortage, #problemareas, #WesternAustralia, #Australia, #AustraliaandNewZealand, #Oceania, #Queensland, #UniversityofWesternAustralia, #AustralianBureauofStatistics, #CommunityServices, #MentalHealthCommission, #ChamberofMineralsandEnergy, #PeterMiller, #PaulEveringham, #NatalieWolfe

🔥 Australia's worst mining disaster Dalyston No 20 Shaft Historical site Wonthaggi

09:28
Two significant coal mine disasters took place here at the no 20 Shaft in Dalyston, Victoria, Australia 📌 The first occurred during the first year of operation on the 20th February 1931, when 4 men died underground. Then disaster strikes once again, on the 15th February 1937, in which another 13 men died underground this explosion was so powerful ,it blew the cage out of the shaft some 40 ft above the surface, and hit the poppet head, making this the worst mining disaster in Australia's history. The newspaper of the day "the Canberra Times" can be read from the national archives. (Link Below) 📌 http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2424471 📌 This second disaster, in which Thirteen miners were killed from the explosion, resulted in a successful national campaign to improve conditions for all Australian miners. So at least some good came from the sad deaths of these miners. May they rest in piece. The Dalyston township today, is nothing more than a few assorted stones and cement slabs laying around, and allotment numbers found on maps of the area. Why is CONGO one of the POOREST COUNTRIES in the World? - VisualPolitik EN

16:48
Congo has more than 80 million inhabitants living within a territory the size of Western Europe and is one of the poorest and most violent countries on Earth. Most of the population of Congo lives on less than a dollar a day. Starvation is common. And guerrilla warfare is so typical in this country that it’s no longer newsworthy. But their history is much more complex than those clickbait articles you’ve found on your twitter feed. Utter Madness: How the gov't wants to destroy best farm land in Aust.

07:22
The NSW goverment wants to destroy some of the most productive farming land in Australia by allowing mining companies to drill for coal seam gas there. The Liverpool Plains have average crop yeilds 40% BETTER than the national average. It's as close to drought proof as you can get in Australia. Some farmers on the plains say that they haven't had a crop failure in three generations. How rare is that in drought ravaged Australia? By allowing coal seam gas mining on the Liverpool Plains, the government is basically putting a stop to broad acre farming. The gas wells would be a close as 300m apart with roads and other infastructure going to each well. Coal seam gas mining also produces millions of litres of waste salty water which would be poisonous to any living thing. The ming companies won't say how they will dispose of this water. The gas would only last a few decades, farming can last forever. It's yet another example of the NSW goverments total incompetance. Another example that a quick buck is king to them, regardless of the damage it will do. THIS MADNESS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO GO AHEAD!! Please write to the NSW premier at: [email protected] AND the opposition leader at: [email protected] and voice your disapproval. Public campaigns can work, but the pollies need to hear from YOU!

BIG MINING IS LEAVING A BIG MESS!

01:09
Already there are close to 50,000 abandoned mines across Australia - if we don’t act now more and more companies will go bankrupt, close mines and walk away. The most serious problem is water: new research shows we are 40 years behind the US, allowing unfilled pits to remain after mining which drain surrounding water resources and leach toxins and salts into our soil and waterways. Modern coal mines have pits that may extend 150 metres or more below the natural water table, draining precious groundwater. For example the final pit left behind at the Liddell mine, NSW, is expected to drain 57 million litres of groundwater per day! Sad Environmental Fact - Not One Single Freshwater River Left in Southern Western Australia

24:58
Links and Photos Below! Did you know that in Southern Western Australia, there is not one single entirely fresh water river left due to land clearing, salinity, as well as the rivers, lakes and eco systems have been destroyed since the 1950's by Monsanto and Bayercorp farm chemicals, pesticides and herbicide contamination. Every year many many millions of tonnes and litres of chemicals and weed herbicides, insect pesticides are sprayed on millions of acres of land around Southern Western Australia ... when it rains all of these deadly chemicals wash into rivers, native bushlands, livestock dams, lakes, oceans and much more... think about it! ... billions of animals, flora and fauna have died, because of this in less than 100 years! Hundreds, if not thousands of species of Flora and Fauna have also become extinct ... in less than 100 years! The great shame apon the Western Australian Government, Billion Dollar Mining Companies and those that clear land illegally Only 60 years ago many lakes and rivers in Southern Western Australia were freshwater... now 99% of them are completely dead, destroyed by the above causes.... I even remember swimming in freshwater lakes nearby my town... now they too are dead. Where I come from in Dumbleyung, Western Australia over 100 years ago our beautiful inland sea of Lake Dumbleyung and the rivers that flowed into it once contain millions of Fish, Marron, Yabbies, Frogs, Possums, different kangaroo species, many varieties of geckos, snakes and lizards... Australian Budget 2019 — Breakdown and Opinions

09:35
The Australian Federal Budget for 2019 was released last night. The Government expects to spend about $500.87 billion in the next financial year. Here’s a breakdown of what they’re planning to spend it on, largest to smallest. Number 1 – Social security and welfare $180.12 billion Number 2 – Other purposes $98.29 billion Number 3 – Health $81.78 billion Number 4 – Education $36.35 billion (Thieving Teachers? Forced Donations? Or Just a Silly Ethical Debate over 10-Cent Recycling? https://youtu.be/fCNh3XVjjeM) Number 5 – Defence $32.24 billion Number 6 – General public services $23.61 billion Number 7 – Other economic affairs $9.3 billion Number 8 – Transport and communication $9.04 billion Number 9 – Fuel and energy $8.17 billion Number 10 – Public order and safety $5.92 billion Number 11 – Housing and community amenities $5.91 billion Number 12 – Recreation and culture $3.85 billion Number 13 – Mining, manufacturing and construction $3.42 billion And in last place, at Number 14 – Agriculture, forestry and fishing $2.87 billion Yes, although food is vital for every Australian, and yes, farmers are paid crap-all wages, and yes, the environment is our most precious resource — for some reason, all of these things are considered to be not very important for the federal government. More money goes towards immigration, or government superannuation benefits than it does towards the environment and agriculture. And now onto revenue. The Government expects to raise $505.52 billion in the next financial year. There’s only five areas, and here they are from biggest to smallest. Number 1 – Income tax receipts $342.74 billion Who would have guessed? Most of the government’s money comes from individuals’ income tax ($228.8 billion) and company tax ($98.9 billion). This bucket also includes superannuation fund taxes, fringe benefits tax, and the petroleum resource rent tax at a miserly $1.4 billion. Number 2 – Sales taxes $69.08 billion Yes, things like GST and the luxury car tax fit in here. But also, there’s a lesser know tax known as the Wine equalisation tax, which will bring in an estimated $1.1 billion. Wine in Australia is actually taxed differently to other alcoholic beverages, and consequently, is typically cheaper. This allows young people in Australia to pick up a box of goon for like $10, and get smashed on a Saturday night before even heading out to go clubbing. As the Australian pub rock band, Cold Chisel, once sang, “Cheap wine and a three-day growth”. Cheap wine is part of the Australian psyche. Number 3 – Excise and customs duty $45.69 billion Things like petrol and diesel fall into this category. Although, the biggest earner here is tobacco at $17.4b. You’ve got to wonder whether the government really want people to quit smoking. Apparently, we have one of the lowest rates of smoking in the Western world at 14.9%, but yet, the government can still rake in $17 billion from it. Beer, spirits, and other alcoholic beverages make up a combined total of about $5.9 billion — still a lot less than smoking. Clothes, passenger vehicles, and other imports pale in comparison. Number 4 – Non-taxation receipts $39.12 billion The government don’t just make money from tax. They also sell stuff too, which will bring in an estimated $15.7 billion over the year. They must have a few investments hanging about as they receive $5.7 billion in interest, and $6.2 billion in dividend payments. $11.5 billion will be brought in from other non-taxation receipts. What will that include? Sorry, it’s a state secret. And the final government revenue source at Number 5 – Other indirect taxation $8.88 billion This includes the major bank levy and agricultural levies. But the biggest component by far is — other taxes — which will bring in a whopping $6.8 billion. What does ‘other taxes’ include? Who knows! And there we go. There’s the Australian Federal Budget for 2019. What are your thoughts? Should we be spending more money on the unemployed? Should we raise the price of cigarettes even further to squeeze every last cent out of those good-for-nothing smokers? Should the government be more open about where they spend their defence budget? Or is it okay to keep a few state secrets? Let me know your thoughts below. Kenya is working hard to attract international investment to its emerging mining sector, which policymakers hope will have a far bigger role in the nation's future economic growth. Australian based miner Base Resources has been mining at its Kwale minerals sands project in Kenya's South Coast since 2013. The operation is a test case for Kenya's emerging mining sector. Andrew Thompson reports.

There are plenty of reasons to understand SWIFT is nothing but an archaic platform that is actually out of date. In fact, with all of the blockchain-based solutions in existence, we have the perfect example of how cross-border payments should look like and function. And this is particularly important considering the fact that we’re living in times where the need of transacting from one currency to another is more than evident, and so it is that the current ‘solution’ is no longer useful. https://globalcoinreport.com/ripple-xrp-swift-which-one-should-be-adopted-solution/ Western Union US Patent http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=%2220180191685%22.PGNR.&OS=DN/20180191685&RS=DN/20180191685 SBI Holdings announces new partnership with Liquid http://www.sbigroup.co.jp/news/2018/0706_11150.html Liquid https://liquidinc.asia/en/# From US Marine, to Zen Monk https://www.google.com/search?biw=1093&bih=508&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=_3BAW5XcOImF8gXynangCg&q=zazen+monk&oq=zazen+monk&gs_l=img.3...16241.20032.0.20339.10.9.0.1.1.0.167.875.6j3.9.0....0...1c.1.64.img..0.9.816...0j0i67k1j35i39k1j0i30k1j0i8i30k1j0i24k1.0.dLh5qg2yn_s#imgrc=vCknDHFLIh3JcM: CoinDelta FLUX https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/coindelta-flux-peer-to-peer-cryptocurrency-trading-exchange-platform-launches/
