With that new GIA Field video you will be taken with the GIA Field Expedition (FE56) that took place in September 2014 in Zambia. You will surely feel the lure of emerald—central Africa’s green treasure—in this short GIA video. First, you’ll visit the Musakashi, Zambia, emerald mining area where mining is carried out by local people with simple hand tools. Next, you’ll travel with Field Gemologist Vincent Pardieu and the GIA team to Zambia’s Kafubu area, one of Africa’s oldest gem-mining areas. “There are maybe 400 mines, and maybe less than 10 are active,” says Pardieu. While there, you’ll witness several active emerald mines. Some are very small-scale and operated by local people, while some, like the MIKU and the KAGEM mines, are very large. The latter is probably the largest colored gemstone mining pit in the world. In this video, you’ll view the entire KAGEM operation—a modern, highly sophisticated mechanized pit mine. As you stand on the rim of the pit, a ripple of explosions blasts ore for processing. You will witness workers recovering emeralds from the pit. You’ll also venture underground into Gemfields’ exploratory underground workings and see the firm’s secure processing and sorting facility. Besides Pardieu, the participants were cameraman Didier Gruel, Field Gemologist Andy Lucas, Gems & Gemology Technical Editor Dr. Tao Hsu, and Field Gemologist trainee Stanislas Detroyat.

Fungamwaka - a mine in the east of Congo. These men work so that we can make telephone calls. They are mining coltan, which is indispensable for the production of mobile phones. The Democratic Republic of Congo is the world’s second-largest supplier of this rare mineral. Fungamwaka is a model mine. There is no child labour, state controls are carried out, taxes are paid. Those in charge of the mine operate legally. And above all there are no militia groups who finance themselves by smuggling resources. The long civil war is the biggest problem in east Congo - funded by the resource wealth in the ground. Ninety percent of the mines are managed by small-scale miners in remote border areas - an El Dorado for rebel groups who demand a share of the yield and sell it the global market via neighbouring countries like Rwanda. The ore is separated from the sand with a shovel, just like in the old gold-digging days. The price of tin has dropped to 5 euros a kilo in the provincial capital; at least coltan still fetches 20 euros. That is why organisations like Misereor have been demanding for a long time that organisations should be legally obliged to ensure that human rights standards are maintained throughout their supply chain from raw materials to finished product- and to cover the costs of this. In Fungamwaka it’s only the miners who pay for the controls- they earn less. www.misereor.org twitter: http://www.twitter.com/misereor

http://www.goldnscrap.com In this video tutorial i'm showing how to recover gold from electronic circuit board scrap. Specifically the gold plating that is found on the board connector edge - A.K.A the "fingers". This video is a complementary to the complete written tutorial on Gold-N-Scrap website (direct link below) The process applies to other kinds of gold plated itmes, given the substrate is unreactive (such as PCB, ceramic, glass etc'...). This process is less suitable for metallic items that are gold plated such as gold plated pins and gold filled items, though it will work with much effort and large consumption of acid. Post a comment and let us know how much gold do you think this recovery process yielded. «Quickgold» (www.quickgold.ru) is a project about the origin of gold as a symbol of wealth and its connection to human labor, condition and identity. It is based on the daily life of people involved in gold mining and processing in the Madre de Dios province in Peru, but it also has a broader meaning. The word “quickgold” is derived from “quicksilver” - the mercury used in gold processing. Peruvians call their country pais minero, “the mining country". Gold mining and processing are the foundation of life in Madre de Dios province. Up to 20 tons of gold are produced in Madre de Dios annually by 60,000 miners scattered around more than 85,000 square kilometers. Fifteen percent of gold mining in Peru is illegal, generating twice as much profit as drug-dealing. Currently, no miners can legalize their activities in Madre de Dios because of contradictory laws. To extract the gold, quicksilver (mercury) is mixed into the gold-containing sand, binding the gold particles together. Then this mercury-gold ball is heated in a retort and the quicksilver evaporates, leaving pure gold and creating environmental hazards. As my favorite subject in photography has always been the daily life of people, Swiss sociologist Nils Krauer and myself agreed to make a long-read story Quickgold.ru about 3 gold mining regions called after their gold-bearing rivers. We try to stay away from condemnation or justification and suggest that behind the gold production process there is a human life, worthwhile to observe and understand. Andrey Gordasevich

Watch more Buying, Spending, & Shopping Tips videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/399149-How-to-Tell-Real-Diamonds-from-Fake If you have a stone that you're not sure is the real thing, try these methods to find out for sure. Step 1: Try the transparency test Flip the diamond upside down and place it on a piece of newspaper. If you can read the newspaper through the diamond, it's not a real diamond. Step 2: Try the fog test Hold the diamond in front of your mouth and breathe on it like you would if you were trying to fog a mirror. If the stone stays fogged for two to four seconds, it's a fake. A real diamond would disperse the heat before you could get it up to your eye Tip The reliability of this test is suspect if there is oil and dirt on the stone, and it won't be accurate if the stone is diamond on the top with cubic zirconia glued to the bottom. Step 3: Try the weight test Use a carat or gram scale to weigh the stone. The most common diamond fake is cubic zirconia, which weighs approximately 55 percent more than a diamond of the same shape and size. Step 4: Try the U.V. test Hold the stone under an ultraviolet or black light. Many diamonds will display a blue fluorescence under a black light, while most fakes won't. However, a lack of blue fluorescence doesn't necessarily mean the stone is a fake. High-quality diamonds, which can be as much as 20 percent more valuable, don't show any fluorescence. Step 5: Examine the stone under a loop Look at the stone through a loop, or jeweler's magnifying lens. A real diamond's facets will be sharp, not rolled. If the girdle is faceted or frosty, it's probably real, but if it's waxy and slick, it's probably fake. Tip Look for flaws in the stone, such as carbon, pinpoints, and small cracks. You'll find these kinds of things in nearly every diamond, but they're very difficult to manufacture in a fake. Step 6: Use a diamond tester Ask a jeweler if you can use their tester, or if they will test the stone for you. Moissanite is the only stone than can fool an electronic diamond tester. Step 7: Look at the setting stamp Look inside the setting for a stamp of "10K, 14K, 18K, 585, 750, 900, 950, PT, or Plat." If the setting is real gold or platinum, the odds are better that the stone is real. However, if there is a stamp of "C.Z.", the stone is a fake. Did You Know? A diamond can be up to 3 billion years old.

In this video I am going to give a simple and beginner definition of what data mining is in data analytics. The data science industry is very complicated, so I want to define data mining for you today. ► Full Playlist Explaining Data Jargon ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_9qmWdi19yDhnzqVCAhA4ALqDoqjeUOr ) ► http://jobsinthefuture.com/index.php/2017/11/25/what-is-data-mining-data-science-jargon-for-beginners/ Data Mining. This term is nearly self explanatory, but let's dig into it (haha, dig into it, data mining) and define data mining a little more to clarify any details. Data Miners explore large sets of data in order to discover patterns in the sets. Data miners look for patterns in order to define medical, buying habits, food shortages, etc... If you are going into the field of Data Analytics you will most certainly be doing a great deal of data mining. Data mining is a mass scale version of looking through thousands of people's daily biographies. What I mean by "looking through people's biographies" is you will be trying to understand how people are responding the the situation you are researching via data. Let's say your company releases a new drug to the market. This drug has been tested to stop the process of breakdown in joints that often leads to rheumatoid arthritis. Your drug ships out to 10,000 trial patients. Now you have a 10,000 person data set to manage. As the trial operates and the patients report their daily experience with the new drug you are being flooded with data about the drug. It is your job as the data miner to find the patterns and insights in order to accurately determine whether the drug is safe or not, the drug needs improvements, or perhaps the drug is not as effective as the company had hoped. In a nutshell data mining is a data analysts daily routine of researching data sets in order to learn from the data. ..a adage says, those who have less in life, should have more in LAWS..but in the case of small scale mining as against large scale, it seems that the law is in favor of those who have money, political and gun power as well as the goons power.

*** IMPROVED VERSION of this video here: https://youtu.be/tDLcBrLzBos I describe the standard normal distribution and its properties with respect to the percentage of observations within each standard deviation. I also make reference to two key statistical demarcation points (i.e., 1.96 and 2.58) and their relationship to the normal distribution. Finally, I mention two tests that can be used to test normal distributions for statistical significance. normal distribution, normal probability distribution, standard normal distribution, normal distribution curve, bell shaped curve

White Montmorillonite is mined at the Nevalite mine in the high desert of Nevada. Dan Golden talks about Lucky Jim and how the White Montmorillonite within the mine had healing powers beyond Jims and eventually Dans own skeptical mind. Lucky Jim was murdered in what his family says was an assassination by "Big Pharma" to keep these types of remedies out of the market. But with todays wealth of science backing the uses for Montmorillonite, Big Pharma is now on board. Companies like BASF and Novartis are producing products containing montmorillonites more and more everyday. They are extracting the montmorillonites from bentonite or synthesizing it with other chemicals for industrial, cosmetic and medical uses. Dan Gold explains how and why he purchased the mine. After reading about natural clay remedies and experimenting on himself and family he decided to bring this clay back to the world of holistic and homeopathic all natural remedies. Respecting its integrity, he mines it by hand and has it milled into a powder to create a pristine grade of White Montmorillonite that is high is its cation exchange capacity creating a crystallin powdered clay that has unequalled ionic energy. This Ionic energy is what gives White Montmorillonite the power to create a platform for a healthier life style by being an amazing catalyst for the organic synthesis which promotes body balance. Dan is passionate about this mine and its contents and so should you. Go to http://www.goldennevalite.com to find out how to get it. Or go to http://www.whitemontmorillonite.com to learn more about White Montmorillonite. Like Dan Says, "Nevalite for Life!" See Dan on Pawn Stars! http://www.history.com/shows/pawn-stars/videos/chum-fever?m=5189717d404fa&s=All&f=1&free=false Lucky Jim was a prospector gambler who one rainy day in mid February 1945 observed a miner walking down the road. Lucky Jim left the casino to catch up with the old miner. He shouted, "hey hold up old feller!" The miner stopped in his tracks. Lucky Jim shouted at him and said, "I've been grubstaken you and loaned you money for years because you said you were crippled from arthritis. Now you are striking down the road like a spring chicken! Have you been lying to get money from me?" Jim asked. The miner said no, that he had struck a claim about 6 miles away in the high desert mountains. While working the claim all he could find was this white powder stuff all over the place. The minor said he filed a claim because he was sure there was gold there but all we could find was the white powder while digging on his hands and knees. Hey said then it started raining for a long time and after about two weeks his knees did not hurt anymore. He said the white powder turned into a cloudy mud and soaked into his knees. Lucky Jim said show me where this white powder stuff is. So the miner took lucky Jim to the claim. When they got there lucky Jim was amazed how it felt walking on spongecake instead of the firm desert sand. Lucky Jim offered to buy the mine from the old minor by forgiving is gambling debts and grubstake loans. "There's right nothing of value here just this white powder stuff all over the place!" The minor exclaimed, "You got yourself a deal!" So after lucky Jim went to the assayers office and got the claim signed over. Lucky Jim then asked the local desert people if they knew what the stuff was? They said yes, the ancient desert dwellers called it "Silk Stone or Cloud Water" They asked him if the soil felt like walking on spongecake? Lucky Jim said yes it did! They said that an old Shaman used it and would not take anyone to the mine because they would trample out the magic. One day the medicine man suddenly died and the mine was lost forever. They asked where lucky Jim found it? He asked them what it was used for? They said they would not tell him unless he reveal the location of the lost mine. He said he would not, but would give them silkstone for life exchange for informing him what it was used for. They said "you got yourself a deal!" When lucky Jim asked them what the silk stone was used for they replied "everything!" He asked would you please define everything? The answers were astonishing and explained why the old miners knees where healed. It was used for sunburn, open wounds, it made water safe to drink, cured upset stomach, improved eye sight, cured gout, cured acne and psoriasis, arthritis, shingles, improved sex drive and made older men feel younger. In time lucky Jim renamed the cloud water, "Nevalite."

MANUFACURE OF PORTLAND CEMENT:Raw Materials: The raw materials required for cement manufacture are. Lime stone which provides calcium. Clay which provides aluminium and silica.Cement is manufactured by two methods they are. Wet process. Dry process. Now let us discuss wet process and dry process detailed.WET PROCESS:In the wet process, first the clay is purified by washing in a wash mill. The lime stone is crushed into small particles and mixed with purified clay in proper proportions to get raw slurry.DRY PROCESS: In the dry process the raw materials are mixed in proper proportions. The mixture is dried, pulverized (Crushed into fine particles) and made uniform. The resulting powder is called "raw material".The raw slurry or raw meal, obtained by one of wet or dry process called charge. Charge is introduced into a rotary Kiln. The rotary kiln consists of a steel cylinder about 150meters long and 4meter diameter and rotates 30 to 60 turns per hour.At one end of the cylinder a screw conveyer is arranged which slowly allows the charge into the cylinder. The other end of the cylinder, a burneris arranged coal or burning oil is burnt at this end.The charge entering the cylinder slowly moves towards the hot end.At the burning end of the kiln, the temperature is around 1700 to 1900degrees centigrade, at this end some chemical reactions takes place between calcium oxide and aluminium silicates.Mixture of calcium silicates and calcium aluminates is formed. The resultant product consists of gray hard balls called clinker cement.Clinker cement is cooled, ground to fine powder and mixed with 2 to 3 percent of gypsum.

Presented by the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. In this emotional tale of Saul Indian Horse, Richard Wagamese tells the realistic story of a man whose life is drastically changed by one of Canada's most painful histories. When Saul was a child he was taken away from his family and forced into an Indian Residential School where he witnessed and experienced unimaginable abuses at the hands of the school's educators. In spite of the harrowing atrocities, it is at the school that Saul discovers his love of hockey, a game that, for a short time, serves as a means of escape. Saul's talent leads to a draft with a minor league team and a spot on Team Canada during the 1972 Canada-Soviet Summit Series. However, as Saul grows into a man, he struggles with racism and alcohol addiction. Saul's tumultuous adulthood eventually leads him back to his roots, where he confronts his past and begins a new journey towards healing. Richard Wagamese is an Ojibway author from the Wabaseemoong First Nation in Northwestern Ontario. He is the author of several fiction and non-fiction works including For Joshua: An Ojibway Father Teaches His Son, Runaway Dreams, and Indian Horse. Wagamese has also been a journalist and, in 1991, became the first Aboriginal Canadian to receive the National Newspaper Award for Column Writing. His most recent novel, Indian Horse, was chosen as the winner of First Nation Communities Read, and is on the Globe and Mail's bestseller's list as well as the Canadian Booksellers Association's bestseller's list. Among his awards, Wagamese's memoir One Native Life was listed as one of The Globe and Mail's 100 Best Books of 2008. In 2010 he accepted an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Thompson Rivers University. Wagamese currently lives just outside of Kamloops, BC with his wife, Debra Powell, and Molly the Story Dog.

Industrial invasion in the remote archipelago had gone too far. Ancient cedar giants and rare spruce trees—lifeblood of Haida art and culture—had been leveled indiscriminately for too long. According to some scientists, we must begin using more nuclear power in order to prevent global warming from accelerating. But that creates a huge nuclear waste problem. But scientists at the University of Sheffield think they might have found a very unique way of handing it that could make nuclear waste a problem of the past. Read More: Nuclear Fuel Processes http://www.nei.org/Knowledge-Center/Nuclear-Fuel-Processes "Nuclear power plants do not burn any fuel. Instead, they use uranium fuel, consisting of solid ceramic pellets, to produce electricity through a process called fission." What is Uranium? How Does it Work? http://www.world-nuclear.org/info/Nuclear-Fuel-Cycle/Introduction/What-is-Uranium--How-Does-it-Work-/ "On a scale arranged according to the increasing mass of their nuclei, uranium is one of the heaviest of all the naturally-occurring elements (Hydrogen is the lightest). Uranium is 18.7 times as dense as water." Managing Radioactive Materials & Waste http://www.epa.gov/radiation/manage.html "Any activity that produces or uses radioactive materials generates radioactive waste. Mining, nuclear power generation, and various processes in industry, defense, medicine, and scientific research produce by products that include radioactive waste. Radioactive waste can be in gas, liquid or solid form, and its level of radioactivity can vary. " Radioactive Waste Management http://www.world-nuclear.org/info/Nuclear-Fuel-Cycle/Nuclear-Wastes/Radioactive-Waste-Management/ "All parts of the nuclear fuel cycle produce some radioactive waste (radwaste) and the relatively modest cost of managing and disposing of this is part of the electricity cost, i.e. it is internalised and paid for by the electricity consumers." How does nuclear waste disposal work? http://science.howstuffworks.com/nuclear-waste-disposal.htm "Nuclear waste epitomizes the double-edged sword of modern technology. It's a toxic and radioactive byproduct of nuclear medicine, nuclear weapons manufacturing and nuclear power plants. In short, it's the type of waste that reflects one of humankind's greatest leaps in technology, but it also demonstrates our inability to deal with our own advances." A New Approach to Military Nuclear Waste http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/06/a-new-approach-to-military-nuclear-waste/?_r=0 "The United States has many pressing nuclear waste problems, but the worst may be the leftovers from the manufacturing of nuclear weapons." This company cleans up nuclear waste by turning it into glass http://grist.org/list/this-company-cleans-up-nuclear-waste-by-turning-it-into-glass/ "Among all of the terrible ways to get rid of nuclear waste, there's one that stands above the rest for being a little less horrible: turning the radioactive parts into glass, a process called 'vitrification.'" Glass Offers Improved Means of Storing Nuclear Waste, Researchers Say http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/08/120822101115.htm "University of Sheffield researchers have shown, for the first time, that a method of storing nuclear waste normally used only for High Level Waste (HLW), could provide a safer, more efficient, and potentially cheaper, solution for the storage and ultimate disposal of Intermediate Level Waste (ILW)." BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS!!!! A TRANSITIONAL AUTHORITY will be able to Hold a FREE AND FAIR ELECTION AND WE WILL BE ABLE TO FINALLY MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT THE TYPE OF GOVERNMENT WE WANT. THE NEW DISPENSATION IS ABOUT PROTECTING THE BAG (BAG MEANING THE BILLIONS) • The NEW DISPENSATION OF ZIMBABWE is actually an Elite Cabal in the Business of Billions THROUGH stripping national and regional resources. • LOSS OF POWER specifically the PRESIDENCY would mean THE LOSS OF BILLIONS NOT JUST FOR THE Elite CABAL BUT FOR THEIR SHADY FRIENDS AND BUSINESS Partners ALL OVER THE GLOBE. • THE Elite Cabal has effectively personalized the Zimbabwean Defense forces into a commercial tool to safe guard their interests rather than the interests of Zimbabweans. • THE Elite Cabal is made up of Emmerson Mngangagwa, Chwengwa, Members of Junta (JOC), Judiciary and other sectors of Business. • The Junta, their friends and families control most areas of business and government in the country. They control the minerals, fuel, money exchange, elections, Judiciary etc. The Current leaders who mostly have backgrounds in the military have over the years created a cabal which uses the military to preside and safe guard its commercial interests in Zimbabwe and other African countries. • The History of the personalisng and commercialising of Zimbabwe Defense forces by ZANU PF and Military elite dates to the nineties in DRC where high ranking military leaders built military cooperate fronts to exploiate resources in DRC which included minerals, logging and wild life. • The Key strategist for the Zimbabwean branch of the elite network in exploiting resources was former National Security Minister, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa now President of Zimbabwe. • As was discovered by the UN, the ZDF and other rogue military used specific strategies for generating revenues for the elite network through diamond, copper and cobalt mining companies. The network coordinates its operations between its political, military and business wings to generate maximum income. The following ways where used to maximize revenue: 1. Asset stripping of State mining companies, 2. Organized theft, 3. Using the corporate facade as a cover for criminal activities, 4. Mining revenues and the military. • Zimbabwe was supposed to be paid for its military support in the DRC through resources. Unfortunately, the money never made it to the Zimbabwe Treasury and instead it found its way into the pockets of the military elite. • All military commercial companies operate above the cabinet and parliament in a form of parallel government within the government. • Military has taken over many State owned enterprises and Parastatals which are supposed to be key socio-economic enablers in those areas where the private sector is reluctant to invest owing to inadequate investment, scarcity of capital, high risk aversion, and poorly developed markets • Military commercialism in Zimbabwe is ‘oiled’ by senior ZANU(PF) party officials and a handful of other business tycoons, namely Billy Rautenbach, John Bredenkamp (a former finance director of the Rhodesian Defence Force and now British Aerospace agent for South Africa), and Sam Pa (from Hong Kong). These men form the nucleus of the business–politico-military oligarchy in Zimbabwe, together with the members of the Joint Operations Command (JOC); commander of Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF), General Constantine Chiwenga; commander of the ZNA, Lieutenant-General Philip Sibanda; Air Marshall Perence Shiri Commissioner-General of Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Prison Service boss Brigadier Paradzai Zimondi; Director of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO); and Emerson Mnangagwa, former Minister of Defence and current Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, The Military in Zimbabwe’s Political and Electoral Affairs (Harare, Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, 2011 • Military is involved in all sectors of economy , Command Agriculture , Petroleum , black market exchange, Wildlife, Minerals • In 2008 the Military conducted an operation called Operation Kakudzokwi Kumunda where they killed small scale farmers in Chaidzwa to pave way for military companies. • The military is involved State owned enterprises and Parastatals 1. Shareholders 2. Military as Directors 3. Military as Management 4. Military as Labour Most companies involved in Zimbabwe business have direct links to Emmerson Mnangagwa and the Zimbabwe Defense force bosses. This award winning documentary reveals Canada's darkest secret - the deliberate extermination of indigenous (Native American) peoples and the theft of their land under the guise of religion. This never before told history as seen through the eyes of this former minister (Kevin Annett) who blew the whistle on his own church, after he learned of thousands of murders in its Indian Residential Schools. GET A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD: http://www.amazon.com/Unrepentant-Annett-Canada-Genocide-Documentary/dp/B00IMQOT7E First-hand testimonies from residential school survivors are interwoven with Kevin Annett's own story of how he faced firing, de-frocking, and the loss of his family, reputation and livelihood as a result of his efforts to help survivors and bring out the truth of the residential schools. In this lecture, I make the case that we each inhabit a story, describing where we are, where we are going, and the actions we must undertake to get from the former to the latter. These inhabited stories are predicated on an underlying value system (as we must want to be where we are going more than we value where we are). In addition, they are frames of reference, allowing us to perceive (things that move us along; things that get in our way), make most of the world irrelevant (things that have no bearing on our current frame), and determine emotional significance (positive: things that move us along; negative: things that get in our way). --- SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL --- Direct Support: https://www.jordanbpeterson.com/donate Merchandise: https://teespring.com/stores/jordanbpeterson --- BOOKS --- 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos: https://jordanbpeterson.com/12-rules-for-life/ Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief: https://jordanbpeterson.com/maps-of-meaning/ --- LINKS --- Website: https://jordanbpeterson.com/ 12 Rules for Life Tour: https://jordanbpeterson.com/events/ Blog: https://jordanbpeterson.com/blog/ Podcast: https://jordanbpeterson.com/podcast/ Reading List: https://jordanbpeterson.com/great-books/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/jordanbpeterson Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jordan.b.peterson/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drjordanpeterson --- PRODUCTS --- Self Authoring Suite: https://selfauthoring.com/ Understand Myself personality test: https://understandmyself.com/ Merchandise: https://teespring.com/stores/jordanbpeterson
