I know the feeling u_u, thats the risk of using public workshops, the good side is that as long as the mats are green youre not using your own mats to build, but ye, u might get disconected and voila, its gone its all gone. BTW you lose the workshop if u disconnect as well, thats how its been designed.

Thank you for the tips! 😁

Public workshops are saved on the server side and you are likely can't reconnect to the same one, I lost my workshop like three times due to disconnect issue as well :< My new plan is to make all needed things module-like and save the whole thing with the blueprint function, I can modify the design later and save again, even in the worst case I won't be forced to start from zero again, I hope xD

+Faylen cool, video, gonna subscribe, hope to seen you on a server.
Faylen (5 months ago)
This is so good to know, thank you! And the module idea great too. Especially because it's hard to find a place to plop down a pre-made large structure because the ground is hardly ever perfectly flat anywhere. One thing I've been doing with camp blueprints is having a blueprint of everything except the foundation so I can put it at the hight I need it and then place the rest where it fits. I think it's gonna be all about working around the system with this one!

Faylen i think its an issue with the game... i had a couple of things to say lastnight in a vid i did in hope they hahaha see it.
Faylen (5 months ago)
No fair! I went back later on and I got invisible roaches I couldn't shoot at, making it impossible to reclaim the workshop. Looks like it's random! Lol

Scrap a car no problem. Scrap a skeleton is to much. Fallout logic
Faylen (5 months ago)
Haha I know its so rediculous, I want mods already
Jack (5 months ago)
Yes and another thing i couldn't stand, it's that you can build a generator, but not a cooking station, this is why i use mod in FO4 is not cheating it's logic, why can't you wear armor on any dress, why you need to trow away 7 perks to be able to make a workbench and lite a fire under a pot 😂

Now that is a bummer!!! I am going to enjoy watching you play this game but it is still a pass for me :) Can't wait to watch you gallup around New Austin in RDR 2!!

For a quick test build, that structure was pretty impressive. You have quite the building talent in Fallout. It’s a shame the server messed up and lost it. Oh well I’m sure you will come up with something amazing :) Question: how do you find the building controls? I found them quite odd. I couldn’t seem to raise or lower objects or move them closer or further away? Also I couldn’t scrap items for resources? Oh well I’ll figure them out eventually (I hope). Can’t wait to see the super, mega, awesome camp you’ll come up with when the game releases fully. And who knows? I might be able to visit 😄 seeing one of your builds up close would be great.

I like the sound of trading blueprints :) being able to share and add to each other creations is a brilliant idea.
Faylen (5 months ago)
Thank you so much! I really love the fallout building system so fallout 76 is a treat for me. The controls are definitely confusing at first, as an example I just found out there are no walls for doors because clicking right shows variants that includes doorways and windows. There are variants for furniture too! You can scrap items for resources at work benches, and if you store them in your stash you can use them for building without having the resources in your inventory. Raising and lowering objects I believe is holding L1 and R1 but I'm not actually sure until I get my hands on a controller. I plan on making a video dedicated to explaining the whole camp system when the game releases and I'll make sure to touch on those controls! Also you can absolutely come see my builds in game, I heard you can trade blueprints with players too so if that's the case I'll totally share!

This video is pretty fuzzy for me?
tlopes (5 months ago)
+Jack Thanks for the explanation!
Jack (5 months ago)
It's not her fault, it's because framerate in the game drop down drastically, around 12 FPS in worst case, so the video outcome instead of being stuttering, becomes fuzzy..

Who cares about what server say, you DID IT !! don't forget the ensign "Faylen Junkyard" !! 😁 You have the power of making me watch even games that i don't like, i really hope you will enjoy it !! Your building skills shines as always, i love also that you kept the area outside with chairs and cooking.
Faylen (5 months ago)
Haha thank you! Building is so much fun I'm excited to dive more into it! I'm glad you like this build!
