I'm having trouble assigning a key to the 'keystroke assignment'. whenever i type in the key and exit the the window it says "Assignment Key: None"
Thom Gibson (12 days ago)
That’ll do it. Bummer.

@Thom Gibson its on a corporate computer and turns out there is a software called "Webroot Secure Anywhere". It blocks secondary keyboards and this logitech mouse is considered a keyboard
Thom Gibson (12 days ago)
Is there a place to click 'save changes'? Maybe drag the dialogue box up higher on your screen.

my settings are blade and arrow for the top and zoom in and out for the small thumb buttons and space bar for the big thumb, horizontal scroll for the thumb scroller.
Mauricio Paiz (6 months ago)
and the 2S has more customization by pressing FN in keyboard.
Thom Gibson (6 months ago)
Nice. I end up having all of those quick keys on my left hand. Love the customization of this thing!

Every button can have 4 shortcuts assigned. Click + move mouse up/down/left/right. On bottom for every button, there is a custom option. Choose adjust and add keyboard sequence for every gesture :)
Thom Gibson (7 months ago)
Ah got it. Hadn't thought of that! Good to know :)

I forgot to mention that I was talking about Logitech Options settings. Maybe you know that but I just wanted to share my discovery because it's kinda hidden :). For example, pressing down scroll and moving mouse in one of four directions can get you four different keyboard shortcuts :) You just need to choose "gesture" for the button in Logitech Options and it opens extended settings.

Hm, I guess I don't know what you mean ... ?

If you care about your students as much as it seems you do about editing, they're lucky to have someone like you as a teacher

Hello, do you know how do I change the function of the left and right master button on the logitech master 2s?
Raymond Kunst (11 months ago)
I'm on a Mac (OS X El Capitan, 10.11.6). The left click opens up a menu that I don’t want and the right button won't double click to open up a folder. I need to tap on the the folder and choose open forn the menu. Very frustrating!
Thom Gibson (11 months ago)
Ah I see. Looks like that must be a system preferences setting within your operating system. Are you on a Mac or PC?
Raymond Kunst (11 months ago)
Yes I do, if you look at the mouse diagram there is no way to change the left and right master click button.
Thom Gibson (11 months ago)
Do you have the application 'Logitech Options' installed on your computer? That's what I used to change the function of every key on my mouse.

Thanks for posting this. Just picked up this mouse and was hoping to speed up my editing workflow. This will help!

Good layout! just got this mouse for illustrator, its a beaut'.

Would be nice to see how you set up the mouse shortcuts, not just what you have them as on your mouse.
Thom Gibson (1 year ago)
Good feedback; I should've included it. On the screen at 0:36, you can click on any of those circles, then click 'keystroke assignment' and then you can say what keystrokes you want it to be (you can even do things like Opt+Del by holding Option, and pressing delete and it'll assign that combination to that button)

1:41 bro you can select gaps and close them with a ripple edit. You don't need to select all your footage and drag it.
Thom Gibson (1 year ago)
Indeed. I was just showing that method of using the W so you don't have to even worry about a gap to begin with.

can u explain me how to bind delete (for exemple) I don't have the option, all i can select is things like forward, back, etc...
Thom Gibson (1 year ago)
It doesn't have the 'All Applications' option you see at 0:14 in my video? If not, perhaps see if it needs to be updated. Otherwise I guess it may not work with older versions of the MX :(
Johnny Allende (1 year ago)
Thom Gibson I have Logitech Control Center but can only configure buttons and clicks for general usage not specific programs
Thom Gibson (1 year ago)
Do you have logitech options on your computer? http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/options
Johnny Allende (1 year ago)
Thom Gibson Another version, the Performance MX https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002HWRJBM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506870213&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=logitech+performance+mx&dpPl=1&dpID=41rsBCBvxtL&ref=plSrch
