No Man's Sky 7: Quite A Busy Little Trading Outpost! Let's Play Next Update Gameplay

19 ratings | 257 views
This is No Man's Sky, an indie space discovery game brought to us by Hello Games. In this episode we find ourselves at a bustling trading outpost, and wouldn't you know it, we can buy the things we need here instead of going out to the space station. Talk about convenient. I suppose it's good because now we can spend a bit more time discover the native fauna and also gathering the resources we need to get our hyperdrive built. One thing though.. Can I learn a few more words in the Gek language.. Please? ========================================== No Man's Sky is a game about exploration, trading, survival (kind of), crafting, mining and a lot of discovery. Here every corner of the universe is ripe for exploration and discovery using the latest in science fiction enhancements and technologies. Lifeforms of every imaginable type and intellect both hinder you and help you at every interaction. At the core of the game is freedom, the freedom to do what you want and when you want to do it. This massive procedurally generated universe is literally just waiting for you to interact with it to decipher alien languages, food chains in planetary ecosystems, and greater mysteries unknown to even the greatest of explorers. ========================================== Did you have fun watching? gold and silver sell. so easy to get anywhere
JMFSpike (21 days ago)
@The CrimeDog I disagree. Silver and gold don't sell for much, and they are sometimes needed to repair things. Best to keep a bunch of it in storage somewhere. If you have an overabundance of silver, you should process it into glass, which is often used for building and crafting. If you have an overabundance of gold, you should process it into pyrite, which is used to refuel your ships pulse engine(I think). If you already have loads of pyrite, then I guess you could sell *some* of it.

True, but they don't seem to sell as well as that tetra-cobalt once refined ;)

True, I'm starting to see a lot of this stuff in my inventory is just waiting to be turned into units ;)

Can’t you make build a beacon scanner thingie that lets you scan for nearby POI like suit upgrades ?
Thranxes (1 month ago)
Not anymore, you have to locate a specific bit of navigation data to do so now.. ;)
Lefteris Mplanas (1 month ago)
There is a teleporter you can built on your base that lets you get to it from any other trade station
Thranxes (1 month ago)
This is true, it's just tough because of how much there is to see and do. I'll have to check it out and see what it takes to make it ;)

There is a scanner upgrade you can buy for 400 or so nanites at the space station that will make you very wealthy fast for just scanning things. Ancient relics are just for monetary gain. As are vortex cubes, larval cores, gravitino balls and albumen pearls.
Kevin Rhoads (1 month ago)
+Thranxes Ah. I gotcha lol.
Thranxes (1 month ago)
Oh yeah for sure about the units, I meant about the spending of nanites on upgrades didn't seem available yet ;)
Kevin Rhoads (1 month ago)
+Thranxes the trade terminal will buy all of those things.
Thranxes (1 month ago)
The trade terminal was the only thing I could use at the space station when last I was there in episode 5 I believe. All of the other desks told me "They can tell I'm not a customer."
Kevin Rhoads (1 month ago)
+Thranxes is the galactic trade terminal functional?
Lefteris Mplanas (1 month ago)
Pronounce it their ... butchering their names is not that bad ... just do not try it with their words
Thranxes (1 month ago)
Haha, okay I'll give it a shot ;)

Wanting to keep everything you find and get everything you see ? I believe the definition you are searching for is Loot-acholic . Or (explicit words alert ... I suppose) Loot whore And I think we are victims of the same condition xD

I'm reminded of this meme I saw once.. "stockpiles elixirs in case of an emergency... Then emergency happens.. But what if there is a worse emergency? I better hold on to these.." ;)
