ERRATA: I said "70 hours" for the battery life, but the correct metric is "70 DAYS". Apologies.

Logitech have updated some of their best mice with the new MX Master 2S and MX Anywhere 2S productivity mice. The MX Master 2S gets longer battery life and higher DPI (sensitivity), which is great.
This also introduces "Flow" - Logitech's answer to Synergy to control two PCs with one mouse and transfer files or clipboard text.

Heil PL-2T Boom Arm: http://geni.us/vY4NM
with the ElectroVoice 309A shock mount: http://geni.us/kWHQNX1
Never really made much content around it; boom arms are almost all the same concept and pretty obvious and boring. But at some point am planning to do a quick one on why I needed a more expensive one after years of using the $15-20 ones on Amazon.
I love the VHS Look on this video! It's awesome! But it may be overused... Try using it a little less when scenes show detail info. It tends to hurt my head when I want to read the details or get a clearer look at the product. Just my two cents.
In the future it will primarily be reserved for more retro tech coverage instead of new products, I just needed fodder to experiment with it and a product I've basically already covered seemed like a good choice. But there's no "do it less" or "don't overdo it" - it's not an effect, it's a real VHS tape. Can't turn it down, haha.
But will get more creative about its use as time goes, just experimenting.
Edit and master video with VHS quirks in mind -> render video file of main original edit cut -> copy to flash drive and copy to PS3 hard drive -> play back on PS3 via Composite to VCR recording to VHS tape -> Rewind, play back VHS tape through capture card -> final touches of video -> whammo
Will reserve this kind of thing mainly for retro tech coverage or special stuff in the future, but needed an opportunity to experiment and a product I basically already covered before was the perfect opportunity!
I had my ups and downs with Logitech over the years. I would recommend using a specific mouse. I have not seen a mouse specifically for YouTubers; looks like Logitech found a niche market. I also loved the video and found it very informative. Shared and liked. Keep up the great work EposVox.
Yeah, just experimenting since I've basically already reviewed this before. It will primarily only really be used for those scenarios. I have a 2004 webcam I'll be unboxing/reviewing and do some similar stuff with
Nice, if I evert tried to do the VHS effect, I would use real tapes, but I would cheat a bit. I would either master to S-VHS or Betamax or BetacamSP (of which the latter supports Component input) and maybe blend the frames with HD footage. I would want it to look nostalgic while looking as good as possible in analogue Tape.
Yeah normal VHS recordings, laserdisc, etc. are recorded from composite source. I've heard plenty of reports that playing non-S-VHS in a S-VHS outputting S-Video adds more artifacting.
But composite video does not scale well. Obviously that's all that's happening in this player, but even recording an uncompressed 8-bit signal from a VHS composite output and scaling up looks absolutely horrid compared to this player's HDMI out, and I hear VCRs do not play well with the scalers typically used for retro gaming and such.
Well, there's S-VHS (or Super VHS) and that's S-Video and I wouldn't bother with one that has HDMI-Out, I would just get another scalier. But even Laserdisc was composite and if it had a S-Video port on the player, it would just be a placebo because the video track's recorded Video is just a composite signal.
Yeah I'd love the higher end VHS stuff to do this with. The problem would still be the output. Virtually nothing outputs VHS higher than composite. Spent a long time hunting a VCR that does internal scaling via HDMI.
So for the other tape kinds there might not be any affordable options.
This seems to be because of missing libraries on Ubuntu 17.10 and higher, also impacts other Ubuntu flavours.
Your antivirus most likely removed the miner before you could exclude the folder from being scanned. If you followed the antivirus guides in the initial setup you can simply extract the miner again, replacing the current files, and run the GUI miner again.
If you built your own version of xmr-stak or xmrig you need to rename the binaries to xtl-stak and xtlrig respectively.
We currently only list pools we have tested in the miner. You are free to change the config for xmrig and xmr-stak to rather use a pool you want. You can track the progress on this feature here.
